history
when he was little, he was shy, not really having friends until one fateful meeting with wren in kindergarten. wren came up to him and complimented the picture he was coloring and with a stutter he thanked wren. wren didn't seem to mind the stutter, instead, they actually played together and became friends.
harper grew tall fast, in middle school he reached 6'. he was skinny and hated his body, wishing he looked like men on magazines... toned and muscular. not knowing how to really achieve that he just stayed the same.
wren realizes they're trans and comes out to harper, harper is accepting but when wren comes to school in makeup and a cute outfit they had recently bought harper realizes he likes them... a lot.
harper sits with these feelings, and even confides in their mutual friend, casey, asking her about the topic... harper eventually figures out he's bisexual, having once thought he was asexual, he comes out to wren in wren's bedroom across the room from them. after coming out he confesses to wren his love and he asks wren on a date and wren agrees, excitedly, having had a crush on them for a few years at that point.
harper eventually goes to a city college of san francisco, majoring in business, wanting to own a small business of his own. eventually, there's an opportunity that opens up. a nonprofit counseling center starts a cafe called crumbs of recovery and needs someone to be the owner to run it, they set up interviews and look for the perfect candidate... harper happens to be that candidate... he's chosen even though he's still in school. he starts getting to work on recipes and ingredients.
