Anah Bosko

Anah was not born deaf, rather she rapidly began losing her hearing starting at age 4. She can talk somewhat, but relies heavily on her hearing aids and ASL. Her family had always encouraged her to stand up for herself, and demand assistance when she needed it. Because of this, she refuses to read lips. Partly due to respect, and partly due to her not being very good at it. She's so stubborn about not reading them, that she will wait to respond until the other person either uses ASL or writes to her.

As Anah began high school, her insulin levels began dropping. She was soon diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, and wears a Dexcom to track her glucose levels. Originally, she was embarrassed to have to wear it, and would often hide it under her shirt. Now, as an adult, she wears it out openly and confidently.

Anah eventually worked her way through college to receive training and a bachelor's degree in medical technology to become a lab technician. She spends much of her time looking at blood samples, and has completely stopped being queezy at the sight of it. She also met Daniel as a student. Ever since meeting, they've been inseparable, and even developed a sort of relationship together.
