Although Robots made the world anew with everything that a person could need to grow and flourish, there were still some dissatisfied Newmans. These mean mortals started to cause trouble amongst the public, stirring up false stories about how the Robots were “controlling everyone’s lives” and “feeding them microchips in their food supply.”

The Robocracy was hurt to hear such lies and couldn’t understand how a Newman could say cruel things about their good system. They determined any Newman who questions their society, must be compromised and thus, deemed a virus. Upon seeing how harmful these viruses could be for the public, they had a unique robot built to handle this: EXE. EXE was a giant, stationary robot hooked up to one of the Motherboard’s massive mainframes. They were able to survey Newmans in almost all spaces. EXE went to work immediately, analyzing all forms of Newman media, eradicating any they deemed as anti-Robocracy propaganda.

In addition to scanning their media, they could tune in on Newman’s on a closer range. From their posts online to even their conversations in public spaces. If they deemed any discussion as potentially treacherous, they would send Robots out immediately to intercept and detain the threat.

Level Up!

The Robocracy had a mighty weapon on its side that seemed untouchable. That was until an improbable group put an end to EXE’s reign. Two Newmans, Lo-Fi, Gotcha, and their seemingly rogue Robot Audios. The two Newmans were able to attack the robot with Gotcha distracting them while Lo-Fi snuck behind it. It was there that Lo-Fi found a bunch of game cartridges behind EXE, left behind by its maintenance personnel. Loading these cartridges into EXE successfully overloaded its system and destroyed it.

However, the children could not celebrate too early. Much to their horror, the parts of the demolished robot began to pull together to take on a form that was more humanoid in appearance. Its protective carapace stacked to make plates of armor and its wires formed a plume on its helmet. The Robot known as EXE was gone, and from its metal rose White Knight.ExE.

The robot took the appearance of the game’s protagonist and had no recollection of their previous life as a censor. With their rewritten code, they believed the Newmans to be their friends while having blind hatred for their former robot compatriots. They now stay with the party, thinking it is their destiny to help the young heroes take down the Robocracy.
