Personality

He seems naturally distant and aloof, more interested by his work than his peers, but is a rather nice and caring character. Often lost in his thoughts, he may forget time and space once focused on someting. Not usually very volubile, he can turn into a real babbler if you ever talk about something he appreciates. He's not very affective though, and hardly shows his feelings to anyone, and will often vanish from any social interaction, finding them overwhelming and not knowing well how to handle them. If he has ambitions, he's sometimes too hesitant to truely apply his ideas. He often has low energy, and lacks dynamism but refuses to sleep more.

Story 1

Almost twenty years ago, a couple lived in the cold and snowy Snezhnayan steppes, trying to raise their new-born child despite their poverty. Altought they strived for years, they ended up accumulating so much debts towards the Fatui they soon were unable to even feed themselves. One day, a woman introducing herself as Arlecchino proposed them to erase all their debts, but they would give her their only child : they had no choice but resolve. As much as Dima wished remembering them later, their faces would remain a blur in his mind, and the cold mantle of death would have taken them soon after he left them anyway.

Story 2

Growing up in Arlecchino's orphanage, Dima or so he would be called later never fit in very well, and Fatui supervisors often had to bring him back home, after finding him out alone under the snow. He spoke very few, and never really told his wish to escape, but his attempts were numerous, and he would one day collide with the Wise Doctor of the Fatui as he seeked freedom once again. As Arlecchino and Dottore had some buisness to discuss that day, the later offered to "unburden" his colleague from the disobedient young lad, the Harbinger nod and soon enough, Dima was gone and never returned in the orphanage.

Story 3

For the next years, Dima would forget what was the sweet warmth of the day light, and spent all his time being one of Dottore's subjects, tho maybe his young age spared him a baneful fate. His second luck was his brilliant mind, which enabled him to understand formulas and mechanisms, and he soon invested himself in the understanding of Dottore's work, hoping he'd find grace to his "master's" eyes this way. Amused by his behavior, the Harbinger allowed him to help, and Dima soon became a important piece of his researches on Ruin's Machines.

Vision

However, nothing lasts for long with Dottore, and despite his work, Dima felt he would soon enough meet his own demise, seeing other subjects, some whom turned into friends, disappear bit by bit. He had to find a way to be unique, unsacrificable, pushing their work far behind the limits they had in mind. Controlling Ruins Machines, turning human body into one, he didn't matter the result as long as it worked and was grandiose, and then, he set to work. Disassembeling the machines and mixing them with his own body, he would realize later that not him more then any other was able to make them work, no matter how precise and accurate was his labor. He felt into despair, for Dottore would never spare him this way, but as his tears nurtured the dirt floor, they ended up flowing on a new surface, polished glass glowing purple.

Story 4

An Electro Vision was enough to emulate the mysterious power of Khaenri'ah, Dima built a catalyst based on ruins fragments and his work was finally "complete". He was very aware of Dottore's loathing of Vision-wielders, but he had not much choice. As he expected, Dottore received the new with disdain, but admitted his work maybe gave him some new ideas in which Dima would be involved soon. Sneaking in his office during the night he was able to grasp some part of his new "project" and Dima realizing he would never survive them, decided to steal them, took his own work as well and had in mind to flee from Snezhnaya. In the morning, he had vanished once again, the only witnesses being the fatui guards striked by the combined powers of Khaenri'ah and Electro Element.

Story 5

His journey would lead him to Dragonspine, where he lived for some days in a little camp, before he met a wounded Knight of Favonius. He took him back to his camp and took care of him till he recovered. The knight, forever grateful insisted to bring him to Mondstadt so Dima could be rewarded as he should. While diffident at first, he saw an opportunity he could not pass, and accepted. Presented to the Knights of Favonius, his first request was to speak to the Acting Grand Master, and he decided to openly explain his situation to Jean, and how he needed protection against the Fatui. In exchange of information about their whereabout and proving his abillities, the Dandelion Knight accepted to considere his admission to the Knights, thing that would occure soon enough. Since then, Dima helps them as an inventor, and mostly helping Knights and adventurers in Dragonspine.
