Silvian Arias: father, protector, and a man few would dare cross. The current clan leader of Eltanin, Silvian is a stern and serious man who deals with his duties tactfully. His travels across the world to different Hunter clans have cemented a unique experience for demon matters suited for his position, and his expertise in multiple martial styles have earned him the recognition and envy of many. At home, however, he remains a stern and overprotective parent, particularly regarding his son, Damien, which has sparked up quite a few family arguments. Perhaps his reservation hides the deepest of truths, his shame for letting his son become a demon, and his dedication to shield him from the world, no matter what.

Summary
The son of two Cuban immigrants, Silvian was known for being a bit rowdy in his youth with his childhood friends Isaac and Ivy, and though he might not like to admit it now, still has a pretty good grasp of skateboarding from his teenage days.
Today, however, Silvian Arias is a famed hunter, and the current leader of the Eltanin clan. His serious and composed manner in Hunter dealings, however are a stark contrast from his youth. None could deny his expertise, having been raised within the clan itself and trained in multiple martial disciplines, from the art of the blade to that of the fist, though he never seemed to hone his usage of the second sight as well as the other two. His travels across the world to different hunter clans netted him recognition for his experience, and more importantly, gave him the chance to meet his future wife.
Tragedy struck, however, when the previous reincarnation of Eltanin passed away during his wife’s second childbirth, and his fears came true: his son had become the new one. Torn between his family and his duty as clan leader, Silvian buried himself in his work instead to cover the shame of not being able to protect his family, even though it was an eventuality that was realistically unable to be prevented.
Despite this, Silvian still finds the time to watch his son carefully as he grows up. Sometimes he feels like a bad father with his constant struggle to communicate with his son; from the silent dinner table meals to the anger in his son’s face as he asks why he can’t walk to the mall like the rest of his friends. But whatever the case is, Silvian still remembers there’s a twisted thing inside his son, a son who he loves with more than his entire being. And whatever he does, he has to make sure to protect him from it at all costs, consequences be damned.
Design
• Silvian is in his 40s! Please be mindful of this if drawing older characters is within your ability, as my style does not convey that very well.
• If you want to draw Silvian skateboarding, please make sure the area is empty (ex. an empty parking lot) - he's quite embarassed about it and does not do it in public!
• He's an expert in multiple combat styles - you're welcome to draw him with completely different weapons than the one he has in his ref!
Trivia
• Personally tutored his children in math and had little patience for slow learners. Damien absolutely hated this as he’s bad at the subject, while Kiara did well enough but still shrudders at the practice quizzes he gave them.
• Skateboarding is his secret passion, he used to do it a lot as a youth. He’s a little embarrassed about it but it genuinely helps destress him, so he skateboards in empty quiet parking lots on occasion.
• Has a part time job at an architectural firm when he's not busy taking care of the clan.
• The bigger crier between him and his wife. He sobbed when he learned his son was Eltanin's reincarnation, and it was his wife who had to pull him out of it and remind him that his son still needs him, regardless of what he is.
• Silvian is under the impression all of Eltanin's reincarnations have a demon inside of them instead of just being a reincarnation. He mainly thinks this to cope, but his mind is eventually changed at the end of the story when his son accepts who he is and ends up saving them all.

Damien
Father and son. Silvian's relationship with Damien is... complicated. The more Silvian tries to protect him, the more Damien lashes back - and on top of that, he seems determined to chase more fanciful subjects like literature or theatre rather than what can actually help him get a better job later on, like his science and algebra courses. He can't deny his status hasn't put pressure on that boy, but how can he loosen up when he hasn't seen him prove himself yet? Despite the headaches, Silvian loves his son deeply. His shame at being unable to protect him when he was born, however, manifests into overprotectiveness, as well as a difficulty in communicating properly with him.
Kiara
Father and daughter. While Silvian's stern nature impacted Kiara as deeply as it did Damien, particularly when it comes to grades at school, their relationship is far more communicative. Silvian is incredibly proud of his daughter not only for making it into a biology program at university, but also for her recent hunter exploits which have earned her a certain amount of renown. They also have a shared burden as family members as Kiara was made aware of her brother's true nature when she was old enough. While she can't meddle in the Choi family's guardianship, she does get quite heated at those who are rude to Damien when out of earshot, and she often comes to her father to confide in her frustrations.
