Unlike most of her friends and colleagues, joannas job isn't to fight monsters or enhanced beings she specializes in investigations and mysterious things that go on in her world. But Joanna isn't a stranger to a fight and is a very promising psychic.
Joanna would rather take her time with the things she sent to investigate and has seen a lot of weird and scary things. Almost to the point where she is unphased by it almost to the point where she gets excited to use her powers more bluntly instead of hunting down cryptids and supernatural stuff.

PERSONALITY
Joanna is an introvert and likes to avoid certain social situations if she can. She can come off as deadpan on the surface but she actually is very friendly when she is comfortable around someone. She has a very goofy and even childish sense of humor and likes to joke around however she is very no-nonsense in serious situations or when she's stressed or frustrated.
BACKSTORY
past
Joanna grew up in a very rich family that owed several companies to the point where she pretty much could have whatever she wanted. She was going to school to eventually be a lawyer or even have a background in criminology. However, joanna had more of an intreats in helping people on a more personal level and would actively sneak out to help people or learn to develop her powers more. She had a very strained relationship with her family but had a very good one with her uncle who was the captain of his own airship. Joanna loved hanging out with him because of how genuine he was and how much he was willing to help people in need. However, joannas brother vincentgot to learn more about his own powers to the point where he was almost like a celebrity superhero, unlike joanna where no matter how much she asked he parents wouldn't let her do the same. It didnt help that her brother didnt like her very much and was pretty toxic to her and it all came to a head when joanna and her family got into a huge fight. Joanna eventually went off on her own and cut herself off from them and went to work for gregor and met every one of her friends there.
RELATIONSHIPS
sJoanna met charlie at the same workplace where her job was the local mechanic and tinkerer she would take interest in a lot of cases joanna was on and help her with them. They got to know each other more and the both of them had a bit of a crush on each other. Eventually, Joanna was one of the people she told about her passion for singing after joanna ended up seeing one of her shows. Charlie however sort of gave up and thought joanna wasn't into her but after joanna saved charlie from a supernatural attack they admitted how they felt and started dating.
Joanna wasn't very comfortable with other people knowing about her sexuality and charlie understood how she felt joanna eventually got comfortable with the people in her life and trusted them. Charlie got herself captured one day and was experimented on and that's how she ended up with all of her bug features. Joanna was there to help her through as charlie did for her.
Joanna agreed to teach Zoey everything she could about her powers after facing her in the tournament. After a while, she found out similar Zoey was to her both of them came from rich backgrounds and both of them had a rocky relationship with their family. She also helped her with finding out who she was since zoey’s a walking identity crisis. Joanna found out she was a pretty good teacher for kids with powers.
Joanna and red met when joanna was investigating a surge of people with elemental powers showing up out of nowhere. Red knew about joanna already and even had some respect for her. They got into a fight and joanna discovered how strong red and it resulted in red getting her powers boosted but at a price. Her body couldn't fully take the earthly elements she had and now her body would get infected with rocks, gems, minerals, and anything else earth-based. However the power boost she got made her motivated to actually beat joanna in a fight.
Red got what she wanted and still lost to joanna since joanna was growing as a person and could learn from her mistakes. Joanna offered to help red told her she would accept her offer after she worked on herself more. Eventually, red became a better person but was still just as unhinged but was a hero and a friend for joanna.
