RPK Daae

Job: It's to be expected that not every dog in Rose Petal Kennels will have the same temperament and personality. Some end up being more antisocial, aggressive, or anxious than others, which can make the kennel dynamic stressful for some of its members. This is where Daae comes into play. No one is quite sure how she does it, but there has yet to be a kennel member that Daae has not been able to win over. For example, the most aggressive or temperamental dogs in the kennel, Benedick and Nimueh, are not always allowed out with the other dogs as they can be set off on a whim. Neither has an issue with Daae, however, and she is able to go out with them to keep them from feeling lonely. Her presence also helps keep them calm should they be out in the yard with other Rose Petal Kennels members. On the opposite extreme is Rumplestiltskin, a mixed breed who gets incredibly nervous when left on his own, and Daae spends a lot of time with him as a companion to ensure he doesn't freak out. She's a sweet girl who gets along well with the other dogs, and it's a major blessing to have her around to keep everyone company. She also helps when traveling, not on the actual trip (as, unfortunately, she gets nervous in vehicles and can get sick and vomit if she’s too stressed) but when the kennel members arrive at whatever competition or location they are visiting. Those large settings have a lot of unfamiliar dogs in them, and even if Daae isn’t competing, generally she is brought along (unless she seems particularly stressed out) as a comfort for the huskies who are actually participating.
