Lovers, boyfriends
Lovers, boyfriends. Acier takes the emotional lead in the relationship, treating Joka as if he is fragile physically, and giving him a safe space to be able to emotionally open up due to Joka baring so much burden, responsibility, and darkness from being a such a powerful being. He likes to woo the powerful elf with gifts and trinkets, treats him like a princess, and encourages him to explore different sides to himself.
Currently their history goes as follows. They met briefly and had a fiery affair while Joka visited to have a weapon made, before disappearing from Aciers life for many months. He returned much later, and an official courtship began. Eventually Joka was called back to fight, and they agreed that their relationship was effectively over and non sustainable, leaving each other with a trinket to remember the other by, Acier receiving a magicked pair of opal earrings.
Two years passed and while Acier had more saucy affairs he found himself never settling down and eventually giving up on love and lust, growing tired of meaningless relationships, and more importantly worrying about the wellbeing of his once lover, hearing the atrocities he was facing. He occasionally received letters from the elf, and once Joka passed through to defend Aciers village from a raid where they shared a bed for a single night before he passed on to the front lines again. It was only after a third year that the war was won.

Commander of Astuzio. Of the Five, Joka and Astuzio have known each other the longest, since Joka was a young man and Astuzio was but a fledgling. They were friends, though at odds usually do to their vast different life styles till they drifted apart due to their difference in ethics. Later they re-acquainted, while Joka was in search for elite warriors to help aide him in battle between warring fiefs, learning that Astuzio rose from a common thief to leader of the underworld. After an attempt on Astuzio's life he decided to give up crime, instead using his skills in sleuthing, thievery, and assassination in favor of activities with higher moral.
Joka always feels suspicious of Frasin, knowing his desire to spill blood, however he respects the dragon and knows and trusts he would never disobey an order from the Queen. He otherwise keeps a healthy emotional distance. He does look up to the dragon for his fearlessness in battle however, unafraid to get hurt even when he is severely outmatched.
Frasin only knows Joka in passing, however knowing many Dragon Elves in his time his thinks Joka's quest for good and to put an end to war is pathetic, though he does not view him as lowly as King Diamant.
