Fergus, affectionally called Fergie, was saved by Acier from a dog attack as a young cat. This left him with half his left ear and a torn right ear, a broken tear duct, and several bite scars, though due to quick actions by Acier he was quickly brought to a healer and was saved from death.
Since then Fergus has been off the streets and living an easy and lavish life, never having to lift a claw for his meals, and with endless access to snuggles and pets.
Being so large he is sometimes mistaken for a dog while he follows Acier down the streets of their village, staying close to his side at all times unless Acier is forging, having an instinctual fear of the fire and smoke. During those times he may be seen lounging in a window seal, on a fence, or pestering the neighborhood animals and children for attention, treats, or to play!
Fergus is believed to be magical or a window for the gods to the mortal realm due to his purple eyes, though he does not exhibit any actual magical abilities. Sometimes, however, he may act in ways that may seem human, or he may seem to understand and reply to conversations through the tone of a meow or his actions.
