Profile
Wren always wanted to be free like the birds in her
yard, but never realized that she would be endlessly
migrating without a home to return to.
"I wish to fly away from here as well..."

Wren has always sought counsel from the birds, and they had always obliged her. She spent many hours out in the backyard of her house, singing , chirping, and throwing out seeds. She preferred it to inside, where the only recognition she received was a reprimand to go to her room, where its thin walls kept the shouting, crying, and breaking of dishes no secret to her ears.
Though the birds could never answer her questions, she appreciated their gifts; small shiny objects and pieces of dried fruit were dropped next to tear-stained dresses frequently. The birds never spoke to her, until they did.
In the night after a particularly harsh series of noises, Wren crept out of her room and down the stairs, exiting out the backyard. As she began to sob, she heard in the rustle of leaves and the hush of the wind a faint question that would change her trajectory forever.
Through her time in The Constant, Wren has found herself a family. They still argue, but Wren knows that with the rest of the survivors she's wanted, and at the very least tolerated.
Wren is the closest thing to happy she understands to know Wendy and Wrigley. Wendy seems a bit less morose now that she has someone to talk to, and Wren the same, neither having to confide in something that can't reciprocate the same way. Wren sees Wrigley as her older brother, and he treats her accordingly.
Wren's even beginning to adapt to having a more stable environment! If you'd be willing to call giant killer bees, murderous Merms, and dastardly hounds stable, that is. Nonetheless, Wren has found some stability and comfort in the chaos of The Constant.
Has an acute understanding of avian disposition:
Ability to build a makeshift nest and depoist seeds berries, etc. Depending on the items given, birds will depoist items in the nest after a couple of days. Additionally, all bird life (tallbirds, crow, etc) is inherently neutral to Wren. A hatched Tallbird will continue to be loyal to Wren after they grow up.
Gets lonely without company:
When Wren is near to any bird, she recieves a continuous small sanity boost.
Perfers snacks to meals:
Food items such as berries and roasted seeds provide an extra 5 hunger and 1 sanity per item.
Perfers snacks to meals:
Wren has a small stomach, so large meals can leave her worse-off than other characters. When Wren eats over-full Hunger, Wren becomes sluggish proportional to the amount over-eaten.
Gets lonely without company:
When Wren goes more than one in-game day being more than 10 squares away from any bird, she experiences a constant sanity drain that worsens per day.
Needs practice crafting:
When crafting an item, Wren uses 10% more building materials (she makes a lot of mistakes).
Surrogate Brother
Wren spent much of her life attempting to hide from acknowledgment, fearing scorn. Wrigley always made her feel proud of herself and frequently aided her when she needed help building something.
The crows are even starting to like him, bringing little doodads and shiny things to him periodically!
Friend
Wendy is the first real friend Wren ever made. They both like birds, which is the most important quality in a friend. Plus, Wendy says that Abigail likes her too: it's like a two for one deal!
Wren enjoys spending time with Wendy and Webber, playing jacks or searching for treasure. Maxwell is trying to teach them chess, but it's so far unsuccessful as Wren and Wendy end up playing castles with the queens and horses instead.
