Umi

Physical Description: Umi is a very small, brown, spotted shika deer. The only thing on her body keeping her from looking like a normal shika deer outside of the forest are her butterfly antlers, which started to bud in when she was a very young doe. This is what caused her herd to drive her away; and how she found her way here. Her eyes are indeed 'doe eyes'- large and expressive, blue pools of emotion. Perhaps, however, one of her most noticeable parts of her body is her rump, which is full of quite an amount of floof, as is akin to her species and her unknown sister. When alarmed or frightened, this fur will stand up straight on end, making her bottom look twice the size it is.

Personality: Umi is a very timid and shy doe, although she has improved considerably since she first arrived in the forest. Thanks to friends that have helped her through, she's become more confident and tolerant of others near- and now will actively seek company most of the time. She still is very nervous though, and it doesn't take much to send her on flight. Once she gets to know you, you have a friend for life- she is loyal and kind, and grateful to have who she has.

Back Story: Umi was born to a feral deer herd in a forest in Hokkaido. As she grew, she began to have strange antlers sprout from her forehead and it reminded her mother and father of her elder sister that they banished not long before her - the one with a blue pelt and the same antlers. She was driven from the herd and Umi found her way to the forest her sister lived in. Not much longer after that, she met a kindly stag named Alessandro and her life would begin to change.  On October 15 of 2012, they welcomed their daughter Coraline into the world.

Ongoing Story: Recently, through a mutual friend, Umi was introduced to her older sister, Kaoori.  Their families have now started to get to know each other and catch up on lost time.
