Cerulean Ashbourn
Introduction · · ·
"Ornate posters of The Wonderous Cerulean slip off stone walls, falling into black puddles spotting the mundane town. No magic lies within that indigo ink. No magic lies in those golden leaf eyes. Of course, they've already been picked clean."

Personality · · ·
Cerulean remembers the days he was a spry and spontaneous lad. Now, though still as sweet, he's taken on a reserved nature and mostly keeps to himself these days. He doesn't seek attention and barely does confrontations well. He's certainly a humble and kind man. Though to those close to him, Cerulean retains his childish teasing. All in good jest to lighten up any sad faces.
Hopeful
Never gives up on what matters the most to him. Cerulean won't give up a second time around at least. He tries his best to stick to it and look on the bright side of things.
Naive
He's growing out of it, but hoping for the good in people all the time does not usually end well for Cerulean. He tends to keep to himself because of this.
Observant
Notices every little bit of detail in the environment. Good for cleaning dirty spots or finding mischevious and childish traps. His keen eye even reads faces well.
Curious
Once something grabs his attention, it's quite hard to get Cerulean's focus back on track. His love for always wondering about the world can never be snuffed out.

Backstory · · ·
The Wonderous Cerulean was once a great magician destined to grow into fame and fortune. He had retrieved his magic hat and wand from a retired magician, seeing potential in a young orphan boy. Honing his childish wonder, Cerulean used his illusions and spells to entertain the masses, quickly making a name for himself.
However, despite all the power and freedom that magic brought him... it wasn't meant to last. His power quickly got out of hand when he gave his creations more freedom than he should've. One fateful show would be his most extravegant yet- and his last. No one knows what had occured, not even the audience who don't remember seeing it. All that is known is that Cerulean could not bear to be a magician ever again.
He would've died on the streets if a stoic individual did not step in. Anstey Ashbourn, a known critic of Cerulean's shows, saw pity on the man. Acting out of the good of his own heart, and perhaps his own feelings, Anstey offered Cerulean a job. Then a place to stay. Then a hand in marraige.
As long as Cerulean gave up his magic to this man, forever.
Current · · ·
His downfall was about seven years ago. Currently, Cerulean has been in and out of jobs, still trying to find his new calling. He lives a stable life in the Ashbourn household, taking care of the home and his twin children.
His name couldn't have picked up as much traction as other, far grandeur magicians, but once in a while he would be recognized. Cerulean would politely ask for space.
Whether he misses his magic or not is unknown, but he looks happy where he's at now. Even if his life is quite mundane.

Cerulean and his husband are quite an odd couple, like a gentle tide right next to a raging tempest. Despite their differences in demeanor, they seem to get along well with one another. Cerulean at least, absolutely adores his caring Antsy.
In the past, while Anstey's criticism certainly was an eye-roll at his shows, Cerulean couldn't help but admit his grump was cute.
Micah tends to scamper to Cerulean whenever he needs to be doted on, but Cerulean makes sure Micah doesn't become a spoiled child. He loves the kid's boldness.
Cerulean supports his daughter's scheming antics, as long as they are fun and do not cause destruction- yet they always find a way to do so.
The youngest daughter and the sweetest thing Cerulean has to once again take care of. They bond over so many of the same things, and he adores her politeness.
Minor · · ·
She's very intimidating and Cerulean feels like he messes everything up around her, though he knows she means well
Doesn't know much about his life now, but he's happy Lionel's got it made for him
He was a very charming friend (and fling) and pulls on his heartstrings. However, Dusk can still get too nosy at times.
She was an absolute delight and a fun friend, and she gives the best bone-crushing hugs
The closest thing he had to a sister or mother, he owes a lot to her for having such an innoscent and fun childhood
Wishes for her not to go anywhere near his family, especially with her magic
