An ambitious pirate with a taste for the finer things in life, and a doting drake-parent that would do anything for his companion, Zhenzhen. An archipelago islander, but also a skilled sailor that can't be tied down to one piece of land.

Drake Companion
When Zhenzhen isn't napping or hanging around on Hao's shoulders, they awaken to the essense of a draconic damage type and infuse weapon attacks with their breath. Haoran can stike with cold and fire!
Legacy of Phlegethos
Haoran's not just charismatic(?); he's got a little innate enchantment magic for charming and suggesting that things go his way. Underhanded magic is probably why he's in the lead for wins, with his rivaly with Genoa.
Headband of Intelligence
Who needs book-smarts when you've got treasure? It's almost as if Haoran never fell asleep through any of his schooling. Mind you, this doesn't stop Haoran from utterly failing any of his history rolls.

Archipelago: Stolen Goats
In helping some farmer with freaked out goats on Ber, the party discovers an underground metal bunker. It's a workshop with all sorts of cog-work contraptions!
The metal-man with foggy memories finds themselves here, reunited with someone important to them. A deal is struct between the woman who's almost disappeared; she helps Genoa capture a fiend for Genoa's client, then she and Zhully head to Spirala in search of the missing archivist. The heir of Ber, Jon, spreads the inovation of the workshop to win the title of govener. And Haoran is going to help!
Personality
Haoran is sociable and bold. He's a bit full of himself, sometimes telling tall-tales about his adventures at sea. He's pampering and doting to his sweet drake companion, Zhenzhen, though.
As a mercenary and pirate, Haoran is very motivated by rewards. He'll gladly swipe up interesting items and offer them up for trade. He'll get a job done like a professional for that sweet end payment, but he's not going to work harder than he needs to. Hao is content letting other people do the heavy lifting while he helps from the sidelines, as long as he gets a cut of the bounty.
Haoran's eager to stir up competition or new wagers with Genoa, and back a horse for completely arbitrary reasons if it'll mean winning a bet. Haoran'll get involved with situations just to make it interesting or see what happens; he can be a real meddler or prankster. He is... kind of an idiot who stirs up trouble, positive he can get away with the consequences.
While daring, even Haoran respects and fears the ocean.

Notes
- Haoran has a flat nose and monolid eyes.
- Zhenzhen's fur color changes and corresponds to thier current elemental essense. (Red = Fire, Blue = Cold, Yellow = Lightning, Green = Acid, Purple = Poison)
- The jewelry on his horns are asymmetrical.
- Inspired by the historical pirate, Zheng Yi Sao or Ching Shih.

Relations
A mercenary clad in rusted iron that Haoran keeps running into, even as far back as his straight-laced mercenary days. Some days they fight for the same team, some days they end up hired by different sides and must cross in battle. There's no hard feelings if they must fight; actually, Hao's keeps a tally of battles/wagers fought and won. The score is currently 7 to Hao, 5 to Genoa.
Genoa's now planning to sail through a sailor's nightmare to Spirala in her little rowboat, to help a new companion. ...She's no slouch at sailing, but this is insane. She'd better come back alive!
Hao might secretly have a crush Genoa, but would never admit it (outloud and to himself), escpecially if it seemed like he was chickening out of their rivalry.
Has got to be the most boring and cautious person he's ever met!
But he does have aspirations of being the Govener of Ber. And Jon's going to win! Because Hao bet 10 gp he would, versus Genoa betting on his sister. So Haoran's now dedicated to helping Jon really show off how the bunker's inventions could benefit this town, whether Jon likes it or not.
A quiet, long-haired tourist type that likes books. She's very dedicated at making and handing out flyers, and she's traded Hao a fun mask! An "archivist" too, whatever that means.
She's in search of her fellow archivist and borrowing Genoa to make a trip to Spirala... Good luck, she'll need it. One can only hope the sea wil be kind for this trip.
A metal-man with barnacles and cogs for inards, but gut feelings and remnant memories. He's got a real interest in machinery but perhaps for more sentimental reasons instead of the obvious. Once, he was a human man?
