Profile

Chetan (Chey-TAN) is the prince of Vitala, the second realm of the underworld. Chetan has never travelled outside of his realm and generally remains inside the palace. He is studious and follows his fathers footsteps in reaching full enlightenment, thus spends most of his days within deep meditation or studying texts.

His father, Archan, is one of the only recorded asuras in the realms who was able to create a child on his own, due to his remarkable powers. As the story goes, Chetan was born on accident, due to his father filling a giant hole with his own tears, and out of the pond grew a single lotus, whom Chetan was birthed from. However, this result has put the Gods on edge, and thus, Chetan and his father are treated as outsiders by the Gods who reside in the heavenly realms. They all believe the two of them might wage war against the heavens if provoked, so they have nothing to do with them. Meanwhile, many asuras despise the gods and hate Archan for not using his power to overtake the heavens. However, there are some asuras who are neutral, and although remain allied with Vitala, behind closed doors, they look down on the King as some kind of self-hating freak of nature. While observing all this, Chetan has decided remain isolated to the cosmos, and deep down inside, feels spiteful and wants to train and become powerful enough to show them all. His father has spent many ages attempting to reach the highest level in heaven, and so Chetan hopes to do the same, and this has been his only goal in life. Nothing has gotten in his way...until now, that is.

His father is known for going on very long journeys between realms and incarnations, and thus, leaves Chetan to care for the realm quite often. However, Chetan has never fully been in the position to rule over Vitala as a standing King--that is, until now that his father has gone missing after the death of his latest incarnation. His whole world has turned upside down, especially after meeting the being who caused this chaos in his life...Karun, a prince from heaven. Karun has killed his father on earth, but seems to have no recollection of his past life. He questions Karun's motives, but strangely, pities him instead of resenting him. Could the two of them bridge the gap between the two worlds, heaven and the underworld? Or is there far more to be understood than they realize?
