About
Mr. Betty Crocker has certainly earned his title with his fantabulous baking! Considered by many to be a young cooking prodigy, Zakuro knows thousands of recipes off the top of his head, and is well on his way to establishing his own baking business. Well... if his paranoia doesn't get in the way, that is.

Personality
Zakuro is everybody's friend. He tries his best to make himself approachable, because, to him, the best life is one without intensity. He's always there for everyone in their downer days, and always there to mediate fights. That doesn't mean he can't be angry, though- any anger tends to manifest as underhanded passive-aggression.
There's also only one problem standing between him and complete friendship; he's paranoid. Horribly paranoid, and he doesn't even realize it. No matter what, there's always that lurking fear that everyone's out to get him. Maybe that's why he tries to be so approachable- nobody would try to hurt such a sweetheart, right?
He just wants a calm life. A calm, peaceful life.
Backstory
Zakuro doesn't have much to say in terms of backstory- not compared to other Ultimates, at least. The way he likes to put it, he just finds comfort in baking and the soft warmth of bread.
He won't say why, though- just that he doesn't talk to his father anymore.
Ever since elementary school bake sales, he's always loved to make food. What started out as constantly making cookies to give to his friends slowly evolved into making bread, and then into making cakes, then macarons.
His upper-middle-class family was able to finance the constant baking at first, but when they decided to save for Zakuro's eventual tuition instead, he started selling his baked goods. It was a positive feedback loop; he baked things, he sold them for more money, he used that money to bake more things.
Word spread about as quickly as his business, even if it wasn't officially a "business". His obsession only stopped when his parents had to have a word with him over how much time he was putting into baking- he was failing school, after all. Yet, come every school break, it was off to international baking competitions and cookiemaking.
So it's really no surprise that, after prioritizing baking over everything else, Zakuro was recruited for Hope's Peak Academy. An easy choice over his family.

- As his talent suggests, Zakuro is a pro at baking just about anything- but that doesn't mean he won't try other things like cooking or grilling!
- Zakuro always wears an apron.
- He's fairly well-known across the world for his participation in numerous baking competitions, earning the name Mr. Betty Crocker.
- He's kinda just... a stick. Very skinny, very stretched out, very lanky. Keep that in mind if you draw him!
- Zakuro's braid extends down to his waist.
- Kazane, Genki, Akira, and Zakuro are more or less The Squad(tm).
- Zakuro has some very... intense trigger warnings attached to him, which are not elaborated upon here. Keep this in mind for the future.

Friend
Zakuro honestly can't decipher why he and Genki are such good friends- but, he supposes, opposites attract. Despite Genki's need for intensity, he always puts some time aside to hang out with Zakuro. The two just... click together.
Kazane
Friend
Although friends, Zakuro and Kazane are almost always going at each other, often teasing or (light-heartedly) insulting the other. They consider it banter. Even if they've never shared a nice word, she's still a good friend.
Akira
Friend
Despite Akira's loud and intense demeanor, they get along pretty well- probably because she's Genki's friend. She's a little crazy, he'll admit, so there's never a quiet moment with her. It's a fun time even when Akira drags Zakuro off to do some stunt he'd rather not participate in.
Shigeru
Loose Friend
Shigeru and Zakuro aren't exactly friends, but they're not acquaintances, either. They usually just end up hanging out or doing things together to buy themselves a moment of peace. Maybe if they talked more, they'd bond over their attempts at a peaceful life.
