I always make small edits. But when there’s a big update, I notify (I discovered this function yesterday ) .

i remember the funtion but i can never find it for my own characters....

It is in the Edit Profile. Below the window where we paste the html codes, there is the Advanced bar. Click on in and you'll see the option "I would like to notify subscribers that I am editing this character:" If you activate it, a bar will appear to add a comment if you want.
