Benjamin completely understands Daisuke's depressive episode and doesn't blame him for it. Now that Benjamin knows that depression is something that is possible for his family, he makes sure that he monitors his family members' mental states so he can catch any other possible depressive episodes before they get as bad.
Daisuke is very proud of Benjamin for going to med school.
Benjamin will never forget how Delano defended him from bullies when they were children.
Delano barely remembers beating up bullies for Ben.
"You put too much salt in the ramen. Here are some ways you can make the food more healthy."
"What is this nerd crap."
One of Benjamin's most fond memories is still that one time when Luciana found him taking care of Delano's injuries after Delano defended Benjamin from homophobic bullies and Luciana telling Ben that she and Daisuke will love and accept Ben just as he is. Of course, Ben already knew that he was straight and Delano was the gay sibling all along, but it still warms his heart.
Sara's goth stuff kind of creeps Ben out, but as long as it makes Sara happy and she keeps them a respectable distance from him, he won't mind.
Sara has to resist the urge to tease Ben with the creepy crawlies.
Antonio, his chronic condition and the desire to figure out what it is and how to cure it were all a part of what inspired Benjamin to become a doctor. He still hasn't figured out what it is, however.
Antonio never expected Benjamin to succeed in figuring out what's wrong with him, so he doesn't hold it against him. He *is* flattered that Benjamin is trying so hard, though.
Benjamin dreads when Florencia and Sara team up for Goth Stuff because it gets too macabre for his taste.
Florencia thinks it's funny how sensitive Benjamin is, but she makes sure to never freak him out too bad.
Xolani is one of Benjamin's closest colleagues and friends.
Xolani thinks that Benjamin might be a little too soft for this work, but he hasn't disappointed her yet.
For Benjamin, it was love at first sight. When Benjamin first saw Imani in high school, he was sure he wouldn't love anyone as much as he loves Imani. And he has been right this far: they've been together ever since.
While Benjamin wasn't Imani's first choice, she hasn't regretted settling with Benjamin a single time. Benjamin is sensitive, intelligent and eager to communicate, everything that Imani wants from a man.
Ben adores Hi'ilani. He's happy that Antonio found someone so perfect for him.
Hi'ilani thinks it's adorable how loving Benjamin and Imani are.
Lucas is just another patient.
Lucas has been to Benjamin to check up his scar sometimes.
Benjamin has been one of the doctors Niran has seen about his condition.
Benjamin thinks it's cute how much like Delano Uzoma acts like, despite never having met him. It's also kind of wistful for him.
Uzoma is kind of sick of hearing about a man he's never met.
Emmi appreciates Benjamin for being the glue that kept the family together and the one who deescalated (and still does deescalate) arguments.
Isla's caring is still fresh in Benjamin's memory. It's why the two are so close.
Right after Luciana's death, while Benjamin was busy taking care of everyone else's mental states, Isla made sure Benjamin would be tended to as well.
Gure has been to the doctor's enough that Benjamin has made a note of him. He hopes that he'll some day get better from his condition.
