Angel of Serendipity
A young Angel hopeful to leave her past behind and start anew. Faced with the consequences of her choices rather quickly, Jeanette finds herself in a completely new city - with no friends and her phone contacts clear. It doesn't take long before her internship interview enrols and her life takes an even harsher turn. Trying to become the best version of herself has been her goal for years and now Jeanette takes it her responsibility to live up to the plan everyday without telling anyone else. Taking up risks, jumping big heights, testing her limits, breaking her mental barriers. It feels scary yet satisfying, but the reality of it all backfiring and her health declining hungs over her constantly. Question is, will she be able to notice and change the course of action before things collapse, or maybe someone unexpected will bring her back to her senses? Only time will tell.

- She likes to keep her hair up and probably has a whole Youtube playlist (over 100 videos) with curly hairstyle tutorials, each tested at least once.

Jeanette tries to present herself as a resilient, unbothered and confident Angel, but it's easy to notice that she's quite the opposite almost instantly. She's anxious, timid and cares about what other people think more than she'd like to admit. Being a mess around anyone new and breaking her 'fake' character easily really does nothing but show how far she is from her goal. She cares about her friends a lot and will always overthink worst case scenarios on any outing she's invited to. She will always stutter when talking to a cashier and she's easily startled by sound. Truthfully, the only time she's closest to her dream self is when it's way past midnight and her biggest worry is beating the final boss in a video game. With that, what no one knows, is how different she is when talking through her headset during these playthroughs. After fully inserting herself in her little world with comfy clothes, snacks and a favorite rpg game, Jeanette's confidence wakes up and she's quite a joy to be around. None of her friends get to know of that side of her though, and it will take awhile for her to be able to find the same comfort she has in her room to about anywhere else.

Relationships
Rodiel Flair [ brother / friend ]
Jeanette’s older brother. Since the man moved out for his Guardian Angel program there has barely been any word from him: her text messages were left on read or awkwardly answered after months. The best way to reach him seemed to be by letters, but even that failed eventually. The more time passed, the fewer answers were given until Rodiel completely vanished.
At first, Jeanette couldn’t help but hold grudges towards him. Punch her pillows at night or rant about him to her parents, only to be told what she already knows - that being a guardian angel ‘isn’t an easy job’.
When adulthood was right around the corner, her approach to him shifted. The responsibility and change that came with moving to a new city have greatly distracted her from the weight his choice has caused.
Actively refusing to think about it and avoiding the subject allowed Jeanette to go about her day rather smoothly, but it never fails to punch her in the gut every other night. Scrolling through their last messages, his social media and listening to his old recorded messages. She wouldn’t want to say it to anyone, but it sometimes felt like losing the only family member who ever understood her and helped her grow up. Sometimes she even blames his leaving for making life so difficult.
Zachariah Lovewell [ best friend ]
Jeanette’s first few years in Elios haven’t been the easiest, but eventually, the right people will come along and even spartan conditions can become a laughable memory. Zachariah is one of those people, whose company has helped Jeanette more times than she could count at this point. Since the two of them met through her embarrassing accident at a mall, Zachariah hasn’t left her with any troubling experience alone. It hasn’t been easy though, as things never move in a linear motion.
The moment Jeanette feels like she’s finally putting herself together, the tower of cards collapses again. And just as their last call ended, another happens. If things are too difficult to handle, she would ask to meet. Zachariah never declined nor frowned upon her dependency, but one day felt like a direct slap in the face. He’s her only friend in Elios, she’s closed herself off from new people “until she’s ready”, but one particular day Zachariah looked exhausted when they had another emergency meeting. He hadn’t complained, but the sight followed her on the way home.
From that day onward, Jeanette has made an attempt to change, and stop depending on him for emotional support, focusing purely on her own company and coping methods that don’t require anyone else. Nothing could have prepared her for that challenge though, and Jeanette has yet to realise that Zachariah notices every little sign of a sleepless night or an evening full of crying whenever they meet.
