She thinks he's sooo adorable and funny even though he's loud and pesky. She knows he has a kind heart and is all bark and no bite with her. He was a bit intimidating at first, but there was something about Wei that she found oddly charming and endearing.

Jin Yuèyìng • younger sister
Even though they seem like polar opposites, they have a few shared hobbies that bring them together. They usually do crafts and cooking projects together and Meiren acts as her sister's caretaker through most of their childhood; she's the responsible older sister, so their parents trusted Meiren to stay home alone with her younger siblings. Meiren worries about Yueying getting into too much trouble with that precocious nature of hers — actually, she's more scared for the people who get caught in Yueying's crosshairs rather than the other way around. She usually has to ask Yueying for favors and typically owes her something.

Jin Xun • older brother
Xun is the typical protective older brother. They get along well and Meiren is clearly Xun's favorite sibling. He can be a bit overbearing at times, but he ultimately just wants Meiren to be happy and healthy.

Diệp Thị Như Vân • best friend
They're old neighbors and childhood friends. They stayed friends even after Như Vân moved and their goal is to go to the same university. They spend a lot of time texting because Như Vân is usually busy studying since her grades aren't the best. Như Vân is protective of Meiren and is highly suspicious of Wei at first...

Lu Fei • family friend
He's an old friend of the family who settled down for the quiet life by opening a bookstore. He's like an uncle to Meiren and she spends a lot of time at his store, whether it's to help him with stocking the shelves or to do her homework beside him at the front desk.
