Personality:

Standing hard and firm, Nightjar was always seen as cold and an unmoving force when it came to anyone save for his dear mate and kits. Even as a child he was a rather no nonsense tom, muzzle hardly unmoving from a blank, icy stare. Yet for his family they only held warm. A tom of little words, saving his voice only for those he trusts the most.    

History:

With an average kithood and apprenticeship, Nightjar's permafrost like nature made it so it was probably quite a surprise when he became mates with a cat like Sweet Pea. Sure the two grew up together, and opposites attract is a common saying, yet it didn't change the fact that well no one had seen them being close. Apparently with all the moments leading up to them becoming a pair being with just the two of them away from everyone. 

Not a tom one would expect to want kits either, him deciding to have not one but two pregnancy was perhaps odd to the cats who knew him best, yet seeing as after they were done nursing Sweet Pea took over the majority of the kit care while Nightjar set back to his duties was not. They had a system, a family, they were happy. Until it all ended, with the least they could say was they went together after a walk out to spend some alone time again just before they could see their kits reach the next phases of their lives.
