On their stomach is a small felt seashell that hides a compartment where they keep other small trinkets. One wouldn't call Asuma "alive" in the technical sense. They are an artificial intelligence set inside of a stuffed toy. They learn by spending time with other Pokemon. They have a pretty calm demeanor and it takes a lot to make them angry.
