Sweet Pear

Sweet Pear is a young hybrid between a pegasus and a wooden gargoyle. He lost both of his parents at an early age and was taken in by his aunt Erica, a healer residing in the forest near [Village]. 

His mother was a scientist at [Scientific Facility] and she was caught in the same radioactive incident as Gladys (though to a lesser extent, as she was farther away). This messed with the baby inside her, and Sweet Pear was born unable to control his gargoyle abilities. His body starts turning to wood at random times and the only way to reverse it is to wait for it to reverse itself or to soak the wood with a potion that Erica created. Without the potion, he turns entirely to wood in about a quarter of a day and has to wait anywhere from 2-12 hours to become flesh again. While he is wood, he is able to either stay awake or hibernate so he usually just chooses to sleep it off. Sweet Pear rarely has to deal with that though, as his aunt’s potion works quickly and it’s easy to notice a spreading patch of wood. Sweet Pear never got to meet his father, and his mother passed away a few years after he was born due to effects from the radiation she received. 

Sweet Pear is a helpful and curious kid. He enjoys living with his aunt and learning about her healer work. He and Cedric are currently dating and when Cedric leaves to become an adventurer again, Sweet Pear is going to have to make the choice to either go with him or continue helping his aunt heal others.
