APPEARANCE 
- Tall and lanky with an acrobat's build and longass legs. High energy body language.
- Brown skin, thick and wavy dark hair just past their shoulders, 2c/3a prob. Shoulder tattoo of an eye.
- Hooked nose, golden brown eyes, dark brows, oval face. Wears a lot of black and gold.
- Has at least three knives on them at any given time, including at least one swordbreaker and, famously, a ceremonial dagger with an ornate golden sheath.
- Has one of those silent shoulders-shaking laughs.

PERSONALITY
- High energy, a bit abrasive, mean. Type of person who walks into a room and makes a loud noise yknow?
- Unreliable in that they're a conniving gossip-monger, but reliable in how surprisingly particular they are; Takes very good care of things.
- A defeatist who talks like things are always waiting to go wrong, but never ever backs down anyway; Competitive.
- Totally doesn't have problems about always being second best. Jk. but most of the time they're chill and they sure as hell don't wanna talk about it.
- Love/hate relationship with attention; Loves a crowd's energy, not immune to flattery, and doesn't like being alone, but dislikes being seen too closely.

HISTORY
*Yohai voice* they debimbofied my murder
Most crewmates know that Yohai was a circus performer and the circus was also, like a cult,? They were raised alongside another child knowing one of them would eventually fulfill some sort of chosen one role. Yohai was not chosen.
Burning the bridges of the life they'd known, they found the Blood and Sugar on the other side. They vied their way into the attention of Captain Clark Ruth; Unfortunately, at the same time, so had Magni Auldvoss. Their competition, as friendly as it grew, ended with Magni as Ruth's first mate, promising that Yohai would be hers when she became captain. In return, Yohai called it a deal and promised her they'd mutiny someday.
They both kept their word; The mutiny was staged during a party. The bloodbath was meant to begin with the death of the captain, but Yohai lost the struggle and was stabbed in the neck with their own knife in the captain's quarters. Magni kissed their bloody neck before making a bonfire of their body.

TRIVIA
- Made Aug 15 2020. side character for a dead side character for way we love it.
- Specialist knife juggler and fire dancer.
- Right-handed. Not quite ambidextrous, but a knife in their off-hand's still a real danger.
- Despite any star motifs they may or may not have, hates stargazing. Terrified of their insignificant place in the vast universe kinda mood.
- Modern AU Yohai has long one-sided conversation with random hotlines when they feel alone. It does not help.
- Might have been told by an oracle before they mutinied that they'd die if they went through with it.
- Italian and arabian bg.
- Takes their food extremely spicy.

Yohai was a good first mate. They repaid Magni's respect by not striking while her back was turned.

The undead captain met the drowned ghosts of the other mutineers on the ocean floor. Living visage can be seen through with water or firelight. In my heart Claude is the only living member of the crew by virtue of being the captain's favourite little spoiled jester.
• Rockband AU – "We don't have to talk, we don't have to dance"
Blood and Sugar's drummer and secondary vocalist (and secondary bassist (and general musical prodigy)); In-joke of stealing the other bandmates' instruments during shows, has an insane hectic stage presence and a cult following who want them as the frontman. / After a fight that led to a near death experience, Yohai vanishes from the public eye, but stays in the music industry; i want them to be producing and have a little band of young punk girls who are trying to solve them like a mystery.
