APPEARANCE
- Handsome and bearded with a charming grin. Black eyes have a knowing glitter to them.
- Short, stocky, and broad-shouldered, maybe 5'3", carries herself with pride and ease.
- Soft dark hair and a well-kept if messy beard twined into two braids. Generally very hairy all over, hirsutism.
- Golden brown skin is faintly freckled. Squarish face, dark brows, and short nose cut through by a scar. Missing a back tooth.
- Rocks a formal-casual style; Collared shirts half-unbuttoned, black comfortable outfits accented with gold rings. Dark, rich, bloody red is her signature colour.
- Her ears have several piercings, all gold, matching her rings, excepting the simple silver one that stays on her left ring finger.
- Speaking voice is very clear, deep, pleasant to hear, softer voice is very warm, gentle, calming.

PERSONALITY
- Highly charming and personable, leads into everything with confidence. A diplomat of a pirate.
- A well-spoken people-person; Equally likely to have all eyes on her as she talks and to strike up a good one-on-one conversation with a stranger.
- Good sense of humour, known to be a dramatic ham and a romantic womanizer. Shameless, pride is not fragile.
- An intelligent strategist, as good with finances and battle tactics as she is with socializing. Bold, but never reckless.
- Ambitious, and power and money go hand and hand to her. A hedonist in many ways, but success is among her greatest pleasures: The top is the place with the best view.
- Gets restless when she's stuck in place. Finds that bloodsport is good stress relief.
- "My dear," "my love," "beloved," and so on and so forth. Has probably said "wouldst thou like to live deliciously?" more than once. so far.

HISTORY
Before she was the revered captain of the pirate vessel Blood and Sugar, Magni Auldvoss was a lawyer. Even back then, she was someone to fear, perfect for the strategic and adversarial career, until a series of occupational mistakes stoked by her own restlessness left her fallen from grace and dead broke. The cold and the heartbreak turned to bloodlust and adventure – and they led Magni to the Blood and Sugar.
Magni embraced the life of piracy and it embraced her back unfailingly. In time she became Captain Clark Ruth's first mate and, when Ruth retired, she took their throne. In private, she brought Preacher to her side as reluctant queen. Even as Magni was happy to lavish her with the benefits of captainhood and the unprecedented fortune her reign brought to the Blood and Sugar, Preacher often spoke of leaving while they still could.
Magni never gave that to her before the ship went down. There was nothing she could've done about the godsent storm that took the Blood and Sugar in the end.

TRIVIA
- Made Aug 17 2017 as a dead backstory character for Way xoxo.
- Right-handed.
- Much of Magni's fame lay in the alliances she was responsible for, including one with Hangman's Grace, a ship as powerful and dangerous as (and the most infamous enemy of) the Sugar. The truce warded off bigger fish, allowing the several allied ships to prosper unlike ever before.
- The title 'The Merciless' is actually from her time as a lawyer, no relation to piracy; So's the scar.
- Has processed 0 of her feelings about her law downfall, has no idea how angry she'd get around any aristocracy.
- Hysterectomy in her early 20s.
- Often has a hard time falling asleep, talks in her sleep.
- Tea person in the morning, coffee's for evenings.
- Runs warm to the touch.
- Especially fond of short-haired women and cunning women.

(*Yohai voice* "HER???") Enamored; Laurel insisted on keeping it secret, and Magni abided but really liked to push it.
• Yohai - First Mate (Deceased)
Yohai always swore they'd mutiny someday – the fact Magni kept them around was a high sign of respect that Yohai appreciated.
• Jackwell - Former Crew (Deceased)
Jack had been passed around as a weapon, but Magni kept her on the Sugar as a friend the best she could. She hoped her departure went well for her.
• Old Queen Tarr - Captain of Hangman's Grace, Fairweather Friend
Taylor Tarr is infamously brutal – their truce is proof of Magni's wit and golden tongue. If he finds out she calls him that she'll have damage control to do.
• Rats Silas - Drinking Song Character
Tarr wouldn't like to hear that the crew of the Sugar loved the mutineering 'king of the underdogs' enough to compose a song about her (which is to say, they thought she's fucking hilarious).
