Ryker is King Minkley's step-son

Prince Milligan is his step-brother and Prince Miles is his half-brother.

All Ryker wants is his step-father to like him

In attempt to get this, he does all sorts of terrible deeds to try win his step-father's affection, but nothing seems to work.

Deep inside, despite his grumpy appearance, Ryker feels that these deeds are wrong, but he ignores his gut instinct because he desperately wants to be liked by his step-father.

Ryker oftentimes acts grumpy and snappy. He can come off as rude, but he usually means well. He can be friendly and caring when in the presence of his friends, though he doesn't have very many. Really, he's just afraid to get attached to others in fear that they will leave him. When around his step-siblings and/or his step-father, he's much more docile and he does what he's told. He acts the kindest around his mother, who he is very close to.

A grumpy, yet well-meaning, half-prince. After his mother's remarraige to King Minkley, he has lived with the royal family in the Kingdom of Korvlind. Most of the royal family is unkind and dismissive towards him, aside from Prince Miles. Kind of a suck-up to King Minkley, since he desperately wants his step-father to like him, and so he does all sorts of terrible deeds to try win his step-father's affection, but nothing seems to work. He can be snappy and he can come off as rude, though he's much more docile around his step-father and his step-brother Prince Milligan.
