When you first look at Heloisa, she always seems to be in deep thought. And chances are she either is mulling over some unsolvable gap in history, or simply fangirling over the most recent episode of One Piece. Her life is surrounded around solving problems or tossing them around her mind, and she refuses to put one down until she finds a solid resolution, no matter how complex or downright stupid (how would giraffes wear pants?). She loves to explore all different cultures and histories, whether they be her traditional African roots or the wonders of Asian cultures. Even with her air of calmness and detachedness, there's one enigma that she can't solve: the mysteries of human interaction. She loves to do intensive research into MBTI and Enneagram to try and decode people - but it's hardly ever that easy.
Heloisa has a pretty good childhood, with a father who introduced her to the world of culture and story, and a mother who always let her curious mind tinker with the engineering she would do. She had plenty of free reign to do what she wanted, and sought refuge in information and history. As a result, although she was very intelligent and perceptive, she didn’t have a lot of friends growing up. This didn’t ever bother her though: friends were a lot of commitment, and her refuge of anthropology and culture was always there for her, to explore the multifaceted nature of humanity and the musky feel of it all. However, as the years went on, she felt like she didn’t have a lot of people to connect or talk about her discoveries with. Sure, she spent lots of time discussing theories with others on the internet, but there was a deeper connection that made her feel a little empty; apathetic. Life was almost a boring routine: go to school, come home, study and then spend the late hours talking about her theories. And she was torn: making friends was really difficult and her obsessions always made people wary of her. And although she loved anime and its grand plots and characterization, she felt like there was such a stigma around it and if she were to talk about it, she wouldn’t be taken seriously and in a world she was already disconnected from, the one thing she could hold onto was her intelligence and creative thinking.
Along with Mychau, they are the enigmatic, classy yet incredibly dorky trio. Heloisa and Lars, being mythology/history nuts, enjoy researching together and delving deep into the mysterious and creepy, the occultish mysteries of the world. They have arguments over whether aliens exist or not (Hel says yes, Lars says no) and will often spat over it while Mychau sips coffee in amusement.
Along with Lars, they are the enigmatic, classy yet incredibly dorky trio. Mychau and Heloisa are almost complete opposites: Mychau is very extroverted and thrives on attention, but Heloisa would rather just spend times to herself. They complement each other in that way: Mychau always does something goofy to make her laugh, and Heloisa encourages him to slow down a little and learn to appreciate what he's really passionate about.
The "hypotheticals" arguments between these two are insane - which of these two buildings would win in a fight? Do giraffes wear their pants like this or like this? It's usually all friendly, but more often than not Jasper doesn't actually share his opinions and just goes against Hel "just for lols". Demiboy-demigirl solidarity. Will go to art museums to either make actually good analyses or to make fun of some abstract works.
