A little known fact about the famed bioengineer and archeologist Ysolt Haldyn is that she has an older brother. Her brother, too, is an inventor, but unlike Ysolt who focuses solely on practicality and what's realistic and useful, Diji always shoots for the stars! Both siblings are truly brilliant, but… Diji's ambition tends to get the best of him more often than not.
Diji attempts (with vigor!) to create a robotic machine that is humanoid in nature, who loves to clean and cook, properly prepared with a cute and classic outfit… (un)surprisingly, the robot almost immediately goes on a rampage and has to be shut down. A second attempt, and… oh! This time the machine doesn't quite go on a rampage, but it does reactivate the original robot and escape into the night with it. That's something he'll have to deal with later, isn't it? Well, that's okay! If he can only make insane murderbots, that's what he'll do! Yes, the third attempt is sure to… completely ignore any commands given to her and spend all her time cooped up in her bedroom reading fashion magazines?! It was a valiant effort, at least…
Despite his many, many, many failures, it isn't all bad. The studio from which he works is a lively place, his daughter is (kind of?) inspired by his work, and his husband always supports him. Besides, how could he ever mope around when there's so much to do? Even if this time it didn't work, let's try again!

- Diji met his husband, Mon, while in college. Mon was not another student, but rather a piano player at the local bar and lounge.
- Diji's hair was not always white, but he did grey much earlier than he should have.
- Diji is a huge fan of fashion and actively follows several designers.

- Though Diji is married to a pianist, he has no musical talent of his own.
Diji's loving husband, whom he met while he was attending college in Emathia. The two have been together for a great many years now, and Diji has nothing but love and appreciation for him.
Diji and Mon's only daughter, darling Anahita. She has Diji's cute nose and passion for robotics, and (perhaps unfortunately for her small father), Mon's height. Currently, she helps her father in his work... but spends quite a lot of time scolding him!
Though they are family, Ysolt is much more famous than her older brother. Diji isn't jealous or anything like that... but he does wish she would call for once! He hasn't heard from her in what seems like ages!
