A scion of an ancient shamanic bloodline meant to oversee blessings and curses in her region, enabled by the gods to do so. A well-kept secret among her family tree and she intends to keep it that way. Her neighbors and classmates know her as ’one of those kids’, the ones who drop out in the middle of high school or college(depending on how old she is in the current rp) to help with family earnings in order to evade poverty. This was only half true. She did help with the family earnings by helping to run a book shop but that wasn’t the whole reason for her absence. It just so happens to be the perfect excuse to start participating in their age-old practices and come of age, taking up the mantle as their next demi-god and vessel for power on the side.

This does indeed take a lot of maintenance. Her every action is overseen by the gods and is thusly rewarded or punished, as agreed upon in the accords. Acutely aware of her every move, she — alongside her brother — continue to hold up their clans end of the deal, holding onto their family’s pride and their sanity with both hands and a prayer.

To this day, they continue to lay low. Mana functions as a bookstore cashier during the day, front desk operation for a bounty hunter duo gig at night. If you want the latter done, she’ll be the first face you’ll need to get past; if she says they can’t take the job, they won’t take it and there’s no going around that. She is, after all, the half that‘s meant to act as their spiritual warden; the one who peers into the history of whoever they might be facing to determine what they ought to be trusted with, if at all. The one who keeps things out of reach and hidden from those who are deemed unfit. The determining factor that tells whether or not any blood potentially spilled will be worth feeding to their blades. If it isn’t, she’s all too aware of the curses that follow.

She expects anyone who knows the consequences and still answers ‘yes’ to be willing to pay the price for it.

She appears as what you would expect a young woman to look like where she’s from, albeit with a more ‘modern’ feel to her choice in wardrobe. An attempt was made to ‘blend in‘ with more understated and desaturated color schemes but the way she carries herself and her adamant refusal to hide her tattoos in a society that’s largely forgotten about this aspect of their history gives her away as someone who is just a bit more…we’ll say ‘unconventional’. There’s also the fact that they glow. She’s a living light stick. If it happens, it’ll either be something really fun to look at or the last thing you’ll ever see.

Between the two twins, she appears to be the much more laid-back and cerebral, if only a bit more visibly guarded. No panic, just vibes. She has the same air of playfulness to her but with a bit more laissez faire, ‘I don’t really care’ tune to it. She’s let go of any delusions of control over her and her family’s situation and only cares to make do with the hand she’s been dealt, doing what she can to make something out of whatever‘s thrown her way. Having her gift, however, has left her with…feelings on matters. Especially when pertaining to power. One such belief is that power doesn’t corrupt, it reveals. Not everyone is to be trusted with it but everyone deserves to have it, if only to know who they really are.
