Khaya Swietenia

A gentle, kind, sweet soul that lives among the flora of Idyll. Khaya enjoys working hard in her various gardens of herbs, vegetables, and flowers to provide herbal remedies for other Rhos, along with food for herself and her companions, and giving back to the insects that protect her gardens. She's very easy going and doesn't push back until she has no choice.

The adopted daughter of Mahogany and Tacere Sylva, who was gifted a woven name of several names that both mothers loved. She is a spirited young Rho that enjoys the herbalist nature. She cares deeply for nature, something she is quite sure she adopted into her own life from both her loving mothers.

Her normal every day life is that of creating drinks and remedies for others. Her herbal teas, and various other drinks, she creates so that her mother, Maho, can sell them and craft them to her liking to her customers in her café, The Witch's Brew. As a young Rho, Khaya can remember the wonderful smells and tastes that came from this small coffee shop. She loved helping her mother in the shop; though she knows it was with great frets from her ever watchful mother, Maho. There are days that Khaya has hard feelings towards herself for causing her mother great discomfort in her many actions that at times caused her harm but she knows her mother loves her anyway.

As for Tacere, she was a hard one, at first, for Khaya to follow. Tacere had her own mothering ways and they were a bit more distant than Maho's but in time Khaya learned just how much Tacere truly loved her and cared for her. It was through Tacere that Khaya learned of nature's ways and the harvests that could be found within if one cared to learn and listen. It was in these moments that Khaya truly felt connected to Tacere as a daughter and she cherishes these fond memories.

Now as a grown Chetko-Rho out on her own, she has found a small cottage like structure to call her home. It isn't far from her mothers nor their place of work so she can visit whenever she feels.

Though, in her travels in the woods that surround her cottage she has come to connect with Nature more and more much as her loving mother, Tacere. Khaya finds the memories that come flooding back a joy for her. While she has found in the kitchen and in her herbal creations the memories of her Momma, Maho, come washing over her like a warm blanket. There isn't anywhere she travels that she doesn't have fond memories lapping at her heels.
