Complexity:
As the soldier's rank rises, more and more customization options become available. Common foot soldiers don't have the time or the resources to have custom-made helmets, as this is only reserved for the rich and powerful. Each helmet, regardless of rank, can be fitter with additional neck and mouth guards. These guards are made from chain mail sheets covered with linen cloth and their purpose is dual: to protect the wearer against the enemy's attacks and to protect against harsh desert environments surrounding the capital Auritas.
Those working as security personnel for the royals and rich benefactors can have their armor sets custom made, to signify their rank and social standing. These suits of armor still need to follow a certain pattern, as dictated by the employer.

Anatomical difficulties:
The biggest issue in helmet fitting comes from the great variation in Cerulean horn shapes and sizes. These adjustments are not considered cosmetic and are free of charge for any soldier. It's quite difficult to find a properly fitting helmet without further adjustments.

Personalized helmets and armor:
Those who have deserved it, be it through birth or war-prowess, can have their armor made specifically to suit their needs and tastes. For these types of armor the money is the only limiter when it comes to the complexity of armor.
The best example of this is the Manna Armor, belonging to the late Prince Arslan Auren, older brother of crown Princess Maria Auren. This suit of armor was inspired by the symbol animal of the Hause Auren, the Northern Manna(also known as Iazden in Arabelean territories). It was made to be ceremonial regalia. The helmet was specifically designed to divert the attention Arslan's deformed nasal bridge and bifurcated horns, in order to silence the rumors that surround the Auren family.
