Seppen is cold and can come off as quite rigid, showing indifference towards others and caring for no one but herself. She's extremely cautious, and is careful to keep herself hidden in her mountain. Seppen prefers isolation, fearing that being close to mortals will give away her hiding location to Death. She doesn't like others, and couldn't care less about the lives of mortals.
She's apathetic and unforgiving, devoid of all emotion except when she's forced to face the remnants of her past, such as the looming threat of Death descovering her hiding place and the regrets of leaving her sister behind. Seppen is really quite a solemn individual on the inside.
Her self-preservation is important, and by keeping her existance feared, yet merely a myth of the mountain, is a defensive sheild for her fears and paranoia. Although Seppen is the unfeeling, merciless ice witch of the north, it's a necessary wall to forget her past regrets and keep her strength.

Seppen is a Demigod who chose to live in the realm of the mortals instead of her home realm. She hates associating with mortals and avoids being anywhere near their civillisations, instead living amongst the arctic mountains in an iced structure of her own making; a climate and terrain so harsh that no living being may be able to make it close enough alive.
Seppen was created and raised as the Death Goddess' heir. Death made her as an illegal clone; feeding an unusually large portion of magic matter into a Guardian to create a significantly more powerful and sustainable creation closer to a goddess, with plans for Seppen to be her replacement. Seppen followed her orders and made her mother proud with her abilities, and work performance. Following the success of this creation, Death made another demigoddess, and Seppen's sister, Kali.

Death asked quite a lot of Seppen, overworking her to impossible means in order to alleviate her own workload, yet criticising and nitpicking any decision Seppen made, even if it were the right one. Kali struggled the most openly under Death's authority, and frequently made mistakes landing both her and Seppen in serious trouble. Seppen did her best to support Kali, despite struggling in her own cage that she was forced into by Death. Seppen was very close to her sister, being the arm on her shoulder and the comfort Kali sought when her she had nothing else, but the weight of her responsibilities caught up with Seppen, and she had to make the very difficult decision to flee from her duties and leave her sister behind.
Seppen made arrangements with the Weather goddess prior to the excecution of her escape, striking a deal to exchange a favour in return for some ice elemental magic. Following the collection of the deal, Seppen sacrificed her ties to the goddess realm and hid in the mortal world cloaked with magic matching her environment and undetected in the icy north, far from mortals. She chose the arctic northern mountains to hide, as by being in a harsh cold climate away from civillisations would make travelling there life-risking, and generally avoided. If no mortals could risk dying near Seppen's hideout, Death would have no inclination to go there herself to reap souls.
Seppen severely regrets her selfish decision to abandon Kali, one made purely out of a heedless need for self-preservation. She tries to forget the memory in an attempt to stay untroubled and detatched from it, and stay strong and confident about her choice.
Seppen has always had a strained relationship with Death. When Seppen abandoned her duties, she made an enemy of her, but by hiding in the right place has never had to confront Death for her act of treason.
Kali was another in a similar situation to Seppen, and they had more of a bond. Seppen was sisterly and sympathetic to her sister, but that relationship was cut off when Seppen had to leave her behind. It's something she tries not to regret.
Seppen sought out Weather to ask for magic she did not naturally posess. Weather agreed to give her the magic in exchange for a favour, surprising Seppen by the simplicity of it. That is the only exchange these two ever have.
