About
Heidi's passions are journalism and talking about how the world is a dreadful place. She can be pretty sarcastic sometimes, and will often tell people when they're being annoying, rather than keeping it to herself. She can also be super pretentious, which is why many people don't bother befriending her.
•
With the help of her cameraman Theo, Heidi is determined to crack down on the secrets within their corrupted city. Nothing personal, but she just wants to make a story that will get big.
•
Heidi is motivated by having explanations. Why have theories when facts are a possibility ? She doesn't want to interpret your feelings, she asks about them. She doesn't want to assume what's happening in the basements of Evelow, she wants to explore them. This doesn't mean she wants to know everything. It just means she's adamant about knowing everything about particular subjects she's interested in. (I.e. if she doesn't care to know how your day went, she won't ask.)

Story
backstory
Heidi was never the head writer for her high school's paper, which she took personally. Especially since the head writer didn't even major in journalism when going to college, which Heidi did, of course. She was never someone who would directly sabotage her rivals, but she like to compete with them and make them feel bad when she provided the better stories. This competitiveness did carry into her college years in which she would make her own column that was always more popular and better written than the head stories.
current story
Heidi feels like she's the only person who hasn't drunken the "Evelow kool aid." Maybe it's the obsession with the council and high leaders that everyone has that bothers Heidi, or she thinks idolatry is a dangerous path. Either way, Heidi is determined to uncover some controversies, and it's insulting no one has threatened her yet.
what's to come
Heidi will eventually accept the help of Ian Khonsra, the empress' son who thinks there's something wrong with the city as well. She wants to play fair and not just use his power as an advantage, but at the same time, is Evelow playing fair ? When it's revealed that the city has been creating advanced humans that can be immune to the world's dangers (Wasteland stuff, you know how it is.) Heidi thinks they were created to replace the natural humans (aka the rest of the population.) Hm, is that messed up enough to get attention and Heidi a proper threat if she were to expose them ?

they're a good photographer, and a good partner for her blog. Every journalist has a handy photographer next to her. Plus, Theo happens to be a good friend, or whatever
Heidi is the sceptic to Ian's believer, minus the partnership that's often involved in this type of duo. Heidi can't stand that the spoiled son of the empress thinks his opinion on the dark secrets of Evelow are ever going to taken seriously.
coworker; Very nagging and not as edgy as they try to be, Heidi can't help but feel a little pity. But that pity is over once Simon starts taking again.
