A cocky young journeyman who only does monster hunting for the gold. He's not terribly interested in the nuances of what makes a monster - as far as he's concerned, the people paying him are the victims, and the person he's hunting is the monster. That's all there is to it. 

He's trying to save up gold for his father's retirement. It hurts him to see him toiling away at a job that makes him unhappy. If he could ensure a good life from his father, maybe he wouldn't be so willing to disregard morals.
