CHARACTERISTICS

CHAR. - APPEARANCE

Sal is a young anteater. He has light turquoise fur with a grayish tint with darker turquoise markings along his arms/legs and tail. He also has the same color marking on the tip of his nose, and a lighter tone under his eyes. His hair is teal and in a shaggy bob haircut, including a darker turquoise stripe right in the middle matching his ears. His eyes are a yellowish green that can change based on lighting.

His clothes are usually dark and baggy. He often wears a black turtleneck sweater, baggy black sweatpants, combat boots, and yellow hazard gloves. Sal also has black stud piercings on his right ear (not both ears).

CHAR. - PERSONALITY

This wannabe villian is nothing more than a hotheaded mess who achieves his goals but at the cost of his wellbeing. He used to be a stubborn and snarky guy, working a generic IT job while being tempted to try villiany as a way to be remembered. But the further he went, he started to become more aggressive, egotistical, and cruel. A former "bark but no bite" guy to now the complete opposite. Sal has no regards for a person's wellbeing, and no regards for his own as he's willing to commit to robotic experiments on himself to make him less "humane".

CHAR. - ABILITIES

As time goes on (see the Mad Scientist portion of his background), Sal begins going through experimental upgrades to make himself more powerful. Below is a list of said mechanical upgrades he gives himself:

• The lower half of his legs have been replaced entirely. They are now a mechanical boot consisting a platforming spring that'll allow him to withstand falls. This also gives him a jump boost as there's a jet connected to them as well (he can fly but it's not very strong or durable)
• His left arm is now mechanical and can be replaced with a variety of items. The main one being an electric cannon that can blast electrical energy at foes. The other one is similar to that of a giant scythe, allowing him to cut through metal. When Sal has neither equip, it's just a metal prosthetic arm.
• A metal plate is attached to the right side of his face. This mainly covers his eye. This gives Sal the ability to see and lock on to targets that are close, moving fast, or far away. It's not removed often due to it being a painful procedure but when it is there is a lack of fur and visible scarring around his eye (the eye still remains).
• After a certain accident, Sal's torso is now completely robotic and metal. There is no purpose to it, it only exists to keep him alive after the accident. He plans to find ways to enchance it, with dreams of finding a way to add attachable robotic arms to the backside to help with tight situations. However, it's still a dangerous concept. If anything goes wrong, he can die...

BACKGROUND

Below is a summary of Sal's background and history. This is divided into three parts: Before he became evil, before he lost his mind, and what he is now.

BACKGROUND - THE PAST

Sal was born to a single mother (an anteater known as Maev Thistlehand) in the poor part of the city. While Sal never met his father, he managed to learn a lot about him due to Maev. She talk about how wealthy, successful, and twisted he was. About how he left her so quickly and left her in poverty. And Sal just so happens to look like him too...

This changed Sal the older he got. The more comments about comparrisons, the more it seemed to hurt. Eventually, when Sal was around 14, he began to put together the pieces of his father's identity. It all went back to a famous superhero only known as "Sasha". The realization broke Sal, and from then on he became determined to spite his "father" by becoming a villain. Maev only encourged those feelings. She wanted the man to suffer as well and would hold Sal to that promise. But eventually, Maev got into a severe car accident. She died shortly after, with her final words to Sal being to murder his father. Find him and make him pay. Remind him of what he's done to us. That's the only good thing you'd ever do for me...

BACKGROUND - RISING THE RANKS

After Maev passed away, Sal moved into the Lakeview Complex (a massive house serving as an apartment to residents who work in the small town nearby). While many of the renters only stayed in the rundown manor for a couple months, there were two permanent residents that ended up becoming friends with Sal. They were Otto (A walrus carpenter) and Lillian (A beaver stylist). Despite Sal still being snarky and unflattering to many, the three ended up becoming surprisingly close. Otto was better family than Sal's own parents, and Lillian was his first in-person friend. For once, there was a chance of Sal being able to change. He had a job, and a healthy social life. And yet, he kept trying to achieve that villainous goal while keeping the life he had in Lakeview.

But everything went south when Sal got mixed in his first ever fight. This was also when he first met Sasha in person. Due to Sal's criminal involvments, he was severely injured in his lower abdomen. Sasha and the other heroes believed that killing him woukd put an end to any future villainy. If it wasn't for his robotic knowledge, Sal wouldn't have been able to create a metal lining to keep his organs in place. This event broke him. His one breakthrough at becoming a villain, only to be downplayed and humiliated by Sasha. This made Sal jump to conclusions that it must be the fault of his other life. That having friends and a normal life would only make him grow soft. So Sal took the final step, and destroyed his old life. Lakeview was burned down, and Otto/Lillian were "killed" by Sal. There was no going back now.

Not long after Otto and Lillian were out of the picture, Sal began experimenting on people. This was so he can figure out if any robotic experiments preformed on them could work on him (without killing him of course). As time went on, Sal begun to lose his old self, now only going by Salizar. Once upgraded, he went after Sasha for a second time. Only this time, Salizar was able to kill Sasha. His mother's dying wish was complete, but at what cost?

BACKGROUND - THE MAD SCIENTIST

With Sasha's death, Salizar was now known as a feared mad scientist. Committing crimes against humanity, kidnapping people for robotic experiments, and going after every single person that can pose as a threat to him. He also became more robotic and heartless.

Eventually, Salizar was up in ranks with other feared villain groups such as Lars (the Botanist), Widow & her band (Dropout Dayz), and many others. His only goal now is to keep himself in these ranks, less all of his acomplishments account to nothing...

RELATIONSHIPS (WIP)

Below is a key list of important relationships Sal has. Note that these relationships are ones that are important to his arc. (Currently this is a work in progress since some of these characters still need further development.)

Lars is one of the villians that Salizar knows. Compared to others, Lars has a different relationship with him.

Dropout Days is a band of villians led by Widow. Salizar knows them through the trade since they all have same career paths.

FORMER FRIENDS - OTTO/LILLIAN

Otto and Lillian were one of Sal's first and only friends...

Otto is an older man in his mid 40s, who lived at Lakeview alongside Sal and Lillian. He and Sal had a strange relationship. Many would assume Otto would hate Sal for being bratty and hotheaded. But it was the opposite. Otto in a way, was like the father Sal never had. He was stern with him and wouldn't excuse his behavior. But it was all because he saw himself in Sal and wanted him to improve. Sal didn't know how to feel about Otto. He loved having Otto in his life, being the best parental figure he ever had. And yet, the walrus was the one thing holding Sal back from his desired goals...

Lillian is a lot younger than Otto, being in her late 20s. She's a typical mom-friend, who loved hanging out with Sal and doing activities with him like styling his hair or painting his nails. It was unknown if she had a crush on him, or just really liked him as a friend. It took a lot longer for Sal to warm up to her, but eventually he did come to enjoy her company. She was something that kept him holding onto a normal life and away from desired villainy...

But everything fell flat when a mission went wrong. The final descent for Sal, when he realized that if he wants to be a villain he can't have people weighing him down. Otto came home late one night, to discover that Sal had experimented on Lillian and turned her to a robotic monster. Otto tried to stop him, only to be experimented on as well. However, the two experiments were never seen again. Sal is unsure if they are alive or not, but he's never seen his former friends ever again. Maybe they're trying to have a better life. Or maybe they're planning their revenge. He'll never know...

PROS & CONS - STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES

Sal's main strengths come in engineering, robotics, and coding. He's always enjoyed coding and programming ever since he was a teenager. He started out as a programmer and moderator on websites and forums, before eventually moving up and working in IT when he turned 20 (although he still did said previous tasks like moderating servers. He's also good at solving puzzles and equations. Anything that requires problem solving, he's good at.

However, while he's one for brains, Sal is not one for brawns. He's extremely scrawny, and not very athletic. Sal is also a hit or miss when it comes to communication. If it's something logical he can do that, but emotion-wise? No. Also, because of how stubborn he can be, he often turns conversation into arguments against himself (believing that if you don't agree with him you are wrong and deserve no respect). In short, he's better at sticking to conversations online than in person.

PROS & CONS - GOALS/FEARS

Salizar's main goal is to become the most renowned villain, to be feared by every citizen, and to no longer be seen as pathetic and obsolete. This goal was first given to him by his dying mother. Over time, it began to fester and become more of an unhealthy obsession thar took a toll on his sanity. Eventually, there was no going back. Once Otto and Lillian were out of the picture, Sal delve further into the madness.

Related to his goal, Sal's fear is falling behind and losing this acomplishment. He'll do whatever it takes to keep his position on the pecking order. The last thing he wants is to lose what he's killed for. Or even worse, to continue being seen as nothing more than a disappointment.

A minor goal that Sal has is his robotic engineering. His priority involves "upgrading" biological life to remove the flaws and make them stronger. He did this on a handful of people (including those he cares about), but that doesn't mean Sal won't do this on himself. As time went on, Sal began upgrading himself by replacing parts of his body with robotic enhancements. He plans to get them to become more advanced as time goes on.

Below is a chart showing Sal's standard stats. This includes things such as strength, charisma, luck, and so on. NOTE: These stats do not align with his mechanical form. In his mechanical form, his stats increase around 30% minus willpower (which decreases by 30%).
