Reuben De'grille ☆

The Monstrous for Monster of the Week. HE'S WEIRD he has literally the highest weird you can have and -2 charm. 36 years old. Really really bad at talking to people. Ends up just kind of Appearing places. He goes there normally but he's just really good at not being detected until someone turns around. He's a very specific brand of can't talk to people mixed with being kind of pathetic. Also REALLY amazingly good at smoke magic. Does not talk before he thinks and pauses in the middle of his sentences a lot while he fumbles for the next word. Doesn't remember Anything prior to The Hook Incident.

He was previously a subject to experiments from a church that lived underground, having survived the apocalypse with the use of Old Magic in order to shield themselves in a crater. There's a bunch of smoke running around the place that is called 'Godsmoke'. The church infused prisoners and such with this smoke in an attempt to make them Gods. Reuben was one of those who were experimented on but he managed to escape from the testing and lived life more or less as a normal man, albeit with his memories removed and now having to start from zero. He is a werewolf that's made of smoke. It takes over whenever he is scared as a fight or flight response. Since the Godsmoke's main drive is to survive and reproduce it uses Reuben's body as kind of a stay alive machine. It can heal him and stuff but it is slowly consuming him.

Post-end campaign Reuben is living on a surface as a monster hunter. He is still infused with the smoke but he has far more control of it due to events that happened during the campaign itself. He's basically ageless as long as he has the smoke in him. Eventually it needs to be taken out or else it will try to take over him again but he has something set up for its removal in the far future.
