Charles
One has not known patience until they’ve known Charles. Interpret that statement as you will, because both are equally true! Kind and gentle and always getting himself neck-deep into trouble, it’s a wonder that he’s lived this long without someone to save him. Thankfully, he doesn’t have to worry about that any longer – after meeting the love of his life by getting stabbed in an alleyway, Charles now has a personal bodyguard and EMT wherever he goes! Though, if you ask him, he’d say that it’s actually HIM who’s the bodyguard.
Ever-kind and understanding, Charles has elected to stick by Dop’s side while she learns the customs of his world, even when it hurts a bit. It’s rather.. Unusual to him, for her to have a second partner and all, but if it’s for her, he’d bear it. At least she chose him first! It’s the little victories that count. Though, he is getting increasingly worried.. With the magical infection from his arm still spreading, he’s not sure how many more little victories he’s going to get.

If you’re a fan of dreamy sighs and impromptu prose, just ask him about Dop. He’d been drowning all his life, but she was the breath of fresh air that he desperately needed. She is by far the most beautiful creature he’s ever seen, both inside and out, and so on and so forth.. He finds himself a little conflicted on the nature of her magic, but would be the first to jump to her defense if anyone were to criticize her. She is, utterly and entirely, his one and only.. Even if he isn’t hers.
TIFFANY
Dop, my beloved.. Tiffany, my beloathed. Charles just cannot wrap his head around why in the world Dop would pick this asshole, out of all the men on the planet, as her second partner. He was confused enough on why she picked himself, but this guy? Zero redeeming qualities. The only thing he can begrudgingly admit is that he is, in fact, stupidly useful. Just because he’s useful, though, doesn’t mean she has to date him!
SYLVEAS
Though they haven’t known each other for long, Charles finds himself incredibly fond of Sylveas. He’s very nice, very kind, and wickedly brave. Sylveas also assisted in saving his life quite a few times, so needless to say, Charles is very, very grateful to him.
BELLA
Similarly to everyone in Dop’s polycule, Charles also never signed up to be a father, and he REALLY didn’t sign up to be a stepfather.. Especially to an acid-spitting dragon, just like the one that took his arm. Regardless, he does his best to be a positive role-model in the kid’s life, and has taken it upon himself to make sure she gets an education. SOMEONE has to do it.
