Alchemy's Links
Spared from the thing he feared most, Alchemy at first viewed Lillian with almost... reverence. Here, this man achieving what he couldn't for so many years. But it was still an imperfect, AGONIZING, solution. For moment he and the doctor worked to tweak, and understand the effects of the talismans. Unfortunately after an experiment gone wrong, he learned exactly where the doctors priorities lie. The doctor values life, but there are fates much, MUCH worse then death.
The poor alchemist was saved by Lillian in the past, and granted a form of what he desired- immortality. Considering Alchemy's interest in the matter, it wasn't too much of a surprise that he sought to follow Lillian and their work. They didn't mind at all! But after an... unfortunate accident of sorts, the position of doctor's assistant was opened up to him. How delightful that they get to continue their work together! Just be wary of getting on his bad side again. You already know what that looks like, Alchemy.
Why... why does he feel **GUILTY** about this. thats not- not an appropriate reaction for the outcome of the experiment. dissapointment- frustration- perhaps. regret if only for how the actions turned out for himself in the long run, sure. but. guilt- responsibility- he... he wasnt expecting it. he. misses, her.
hm.
much to consider.
The professor! One of the good doctors more... long term patients and fellow assistant! While he could be a little cold sometimes, she knows he doesnt mean it! with all that fear dripping out of him, she sure hes just trying to seem professional. Though she doesn't quite understand what he and the doctor find so... terrifying about death. To finally rest... wouldnt that be a relief?
Not that she'd tell either of them that.
Oh, whats that? you need her a for little test? Of course- she'll be right over!
Their Father. Dr.Caito was not a family man, even in the best of days, and casey quickly grew to despise him, as the years dragged on and the man continued to hole away, tinkering on that godforsaken project of his. Casey flew the damn coop as soon as he could, and encouraged his sister to do the same. After all, what good was the old codger doing for others sequestered away like that? Casey was going to help people in the ways that mattered, feet on the ground and head in the action.
He always knew the bastard would fuck it up somehow- but to drag his SISTER in on it?
He'll never forgive him.
Their Father. The man that made her, in more ways then one. He was often absent in their youth, whiling away every moment he wasn't at work on his own personal project in the basement. Despite his absences, and cold demeanor- Cass had to admit, she admired him. It was unsurprising then that as she got older, she followed in his footsteps. She studied hard, got her degree, and began studying under her father, learning more about his project. She almost believed in their work, for a time. It was the closest she had ever been with him- though it strained her relation ship with her twin.
It was fine. He'd come around, once he found out. They were going to save everyone, after all.
Even if is cost her more then she could pay.
