Appearance
Diamond is Unbreakable
Canonically, Mia is a girl of normal build, with tanned skin and very agile. She doesn't share any physical characteristics with her adoptive father Kei Kanokami. She has light brown hair with two braids falling down the side of her face, thin eyebrows, a profiled nose, full lips with pink lipstick.
Her school uniform is customized in such a way that the ornaments on the uniform are in the shape of a heart, pink scarf, and baggy socks.
Her style is inspired by the Gyaru style of Japanese schoolgirls that was fashionable in the 1990s.
Stone Ocean
Pink is still her main color, in which she wears a pink one-piece suit, without any details, with heart-shaped pins in her pixie-cut hair. She also wears a light pink blouse underneath the outfit with a slight neckline, on the sides, there are more heart decorations.
She wears low heels, pink with white straps, as well as an "obi" around her waist and hip area where there is a broken heart ornament.
Personality
At first glance, Mia looks like an ordinary girl, but she is a girl with a lot of kleptomania problems, so she often gets into trouble that fortunately doesn't lead to anything serious. Apart from that, she is a girl with a heart of gold, cheerful and full of energy, her attitude is transparent, her face expresses what she feels, never tries to hide it.
She often says what she thinks, however strange it may seem.
Early Life (1982-1988)
She was born in New York, found in an abandoned house where Kei Kanokami was conducting research on a new project for the Speedwagon Foundation, which she became one of the first test subjects.
When adopted by one of the Foundation's lead researchers, she is transferred to Tokyo with her adoptive father until the age of 6 where she has to move in with her grandparents for a few months while her father has to stay in Tokyo to care for and investigate Holy Joestar's condition while the events of part 3 (Stardust Crusaders) take place.
Let's Go Play at the Mangaka's House (Chapter 318)
In this chapter, Mia is mentioned by the mangaka because unlike Hazamada and Koichi, she didn't enter Rohan's house with his permission, so he makes Rohan use his stand to write on their bodies that they will find the manuscript thief, no matter what.
However, it hadn't worked, so Rohan ended up erasing their memory anyway until Josuke and Okuyasu decided to follow Koichi closely to the mangaka's house the next day.
Mia Kanokami is the Sweet Robber (Chapter 324.5 part 1)
It is a series of separate chapters showing how Mia successfully steals Rohan's manuscript. Despite the differences between Rohan and Josuke, Josuke decides to help the mangaka find his manuscript.
At school, after many clues and rumors, Josuke finally manages to find the manuscript thief, who was looking through the papers at recess near a fountain. Not wanting to return them, Josuke tries to use "Crazy Diamond" to retrieve the papers without damaging them, but to his surprise, the girl's body moves strangely, as if she had turned into very flexible paper out of nowhere.
Upon discovering that Mia was also a stand user, he decides to attack her this time, but it seems that Josuke's attempts were useless as he couldn't touch Mia's body completely to hit him.
Mia didn't give her arm to twist until Okuyasu appears without noticing what happened scolding Josuke because he was attacking a pretty girl, but finally understanding the situation, he tries to attack her with "The Hand", however, Mia, noticing that Okuyasu had a packet of sweet bread she makes the power of her stand disappear and with emotion tells him if they can exchange the sweet bread for the mangaka's manuscript.

Abilities
Stand
It is a seemingly weak stand but can be a worthy adversary if the right conditions and strategies are used. Paper Planes possesses an almost absolute mastery of object composition, as its power is to flatten objects so that they look like a sheet of paper but still retain their hardness and texture.
Unlike the stands in part 4, Mia's stand manifests itself by wrapping around Mia making it resemble a costume, although she was never seen wearing it as a costume in its entirety.
Skillset
- Flattening objects: Paper planes can flatten any object, even its own user, into a 2D object, yet everything retains its material, it does not become paper, if the stand flattens a metal bar, it will still be a metal bar with enough edge to become a sword.
- Self-awareness: The stand is activated the instant Mia senses that she is in danger, or even if she doesn't, any threat is detected by Paper Planes.
- Changing the weight of objects: It is an ability that is not always activated but has the potential to reduce the weight of any object that is flattened, but it happens very rarely.
Family
Kei Kanokami
At the beginning he shows himself as a distant man who adopted her to follow closely how a daughter of stand users behaved, but as time went by his role as a father became more evident, being a young father, Kei tried to give Mia a decent upbringing, failing a bit. in the events of part 4 he was not even in the city, he tends to leave her alone many times, even so, Mia adores her father, and she knows he loves her too.
Allies
Josuke Higashikata
Although there was a quarrel between them when they first met, after that there is a rather subtle rivalry between them. Mia often tries to confuse him and succeeds most of the time.
Okuyasu Nijimura
From the beginning, she thought he was a cute boy, because of the way he treated her when he gave her his melon bread. Their relationship is totally one of friendship, although Okuyasu can misinterpret her actions.
Koichi Hirose
They have rarely met, but Koichi has respect for her as his sempai. Besides, he knows her because she is the captain of the school's Kendo club.
Rohan Kishibe
Both had a bad start, but she was able to come to a truce with the mangaka when she apologized, and from time to time she goes to visit him, as he found her personality interesting and inspired her to create more real and bizarre characters. After getting his manuscript back, however, he is more attentive to not leaving her alone at his home.
Jotaro Kujo
She only knew him by name, as he was one of her father's apprentices. After the events of part 4, she believes him to be an admirable man with a terrifying face.
Yukako Yamagishi
They initially had a somewhat distant, cordial relationship, only knowing each other by sight, however, after the incident with Koichi, Mia tries to help Yukako not to be so impulsive, failing at every attempt.
