Scorch is a tough and courageous wyvern and the adoptive father of Clove. His number one priority in life is protecting his loved ones - specifically Cerulean and Clove. Although he appears intimidating, he's actually a huge softy and has a heart larger than his muscles.

Scorch is a keen family wyvern, with nearly everything he does being centered around his wife and adopted son. He resides with them both in a private cave obscured by foliage. His appearance and demeanor around unfamiliar characters seem intimidating, but he is actually a sympathetic toughie and won't get tempered or aggressive unless his loved ones are threatened. He doesn't automatically trust newcomers, however; one must earn his trust. Also very loving to his wife, he shows affection very often - he's quite the romantic-gentleman type.

Scorch became a lot more protective and mistrusting toward others after meeting Clove. He and Cerulean found the pixie moth caught in a trap set by Nathara in the forest; as they attempted to free him from the trap, Nathara jumped out to attack them. Scorch fought back viciously, but obtained injuries in the process (the scar on his chest and his wing torn). The two wyverns managed to ward the naga off and free Clove, as well as offering their home to him, which is how they ended up adopting the young moth.
