Origins

Dagfinnir is technically a lesser star “diety.” While he has no sex, for simplicity he takes on he/him pronouns in most cases; he does not care what he is called. He has the power to shape the space around him and create stars, moons, and small planets, and much of his “early life” was centered around creating new galaxies and expanding the universe with his “family.” While technically not related, as none of them know how they came into being, the group of deities that he spent many millennia with considered each other family. Everything went well for many, many years, until one day, the head of the family was pierced by a planets’ creatures’ weapon through the heart. Everyone was astounded, and scared. None of them knew that they could die by the hands of another, and so in fear and pain for their lost loved one, they combined their powers to destroy that section of the universe and wipe out the killers forever.

Dagfinnir, however, didn’t understand why they felt the need to kill these creatures. He didn’t understand the pain coursing through his brethren, either, and so became ostracized from his fellow deities. After not taking part in the folding of that space (which cost the strength and near-death of some of the other lesser, weaker deities), his family slowly started talking to him less and less, leaving Dagfinnir alone and wondering why he couldn’t feel like they did.

Eventually, the star dragon left his home and set out to explore all the work he had helped create, metaphorically leaving behind his powers behind him. While he has sought a sense of normalcy and peace, he has yet to find it. Dagfinnir has interacted with and will continue to research the many cultures and creatures he comes across, but isolation and rejection has left him cold. He’s harsh and cynical when he does speak, and often his glaring eyes cause discomfort to the point of pain to those around him. His apathy extends to watching wars wage without lifting a claw, and he rarely lets himself get attached to the beings on the worlds he visits, knowing that they, someday, will die while he lives on.

He has many stories to tell, and many more to experience. Only his will and the light of the stars will guide him.

Journey

At one point, Dag visited a planet very similar to Earth. On that planet, he found Pixie. Pixie was the one being/lover that actually made him happy. When she would tell her friend Hera, and others, about him, though, Pixie was mocked and called a liar to the point where she would come to him in tears, begging to be sure he was real. He finally erased all the memories of him from her mind, leaving her with only whispy, dream-like images of him, and left her forever. He still hurts from it till this day, but he's glad to watch from afar an see her happy. He finds it amusing how she steals shiny things, his heart aching a little because he knows why: they remind her of the stars in his skin

Dag once came across a young SkyGlancer named Bermuda. Bermuda, after years of training and service in the military, was a very formidable warrior. However, she lost someone special to her. It was after that crippling loss that the SkyGlancer decided that she must seek out the Spirit in the Sky from legend, so that something like it would never happen again. Dagfinnir, after she proved her worth to them, blessed her with heightened senses, especially sight. These senses only activate themselves when Bermuda is in extreme danger or emotion.
