Sura(ya) Mottren

Sura...ya?
Sura has a bizarre speech impediment: she often ends her sentences/words with "ya". Given this condition most people just refer to her as Suraya either out of malice or ignorance. She doesn't seem to care.

One rotten apple
Suraya is a fully socialized Syllkheret from the modern age of Eraden and currently works as a scouting Stigmata officer and extermination officer*. She loves violence and just being a public nuisance in general. Luckily, most of her violence is directed towards herself, as she enjoys experimenting with different methods of inflicting pain on herself(piercings, cigarette burns, scars,you name it). A customized shock collar prevents her from causing (too much) damage to her surroundings and others.

How did we get here?
In the dead of night, as she was trying to find her way home in the confusing ancient tunnels of Kierethe district of Erdra***, three men attacked her. They were hoping she was as helpless and easy to confuse and overwhelm as all of their other Syllkheret victims. But they would never live to cut of her horns or hair; before they could even react to her movement, their throats were bitten open. The Stigmata officers who found and brought her in could hardly believe that she barely had a scratch on her. Given her obvious ability to fend for herself and quite an extensive criminal record they decided to give her a choice: incarceration or Stigmata training. Not wanting to lose her freedom and access to the dark corners of Erdra, she chose the latter. Early in her Stigmata career she befriended Chayra, a fellow trainee with a passion for violence against those who make short people jokes.

Shocking circumstances
From the very beginning of her training it was quite obvious that Suraya has little to no impulse control during sparring, and would use any opportunity to cause as much chaos for the thrill of it. In order to prevent unnecessary injuries, the administration equipped Suraya with a remote controlled shock collar. She is to be accompanied at all times by an officer that's been cleared to handle her. The officer in question is given the remote control of her shock collar, and is to administer shocks whenever needed. Suraya isn't injured by these shocks, they are just strong enough to remind her that she is being watched at all times, though the voltage can be amped up if need be.

Courtyard bully
Suraya has a special talent for finding victims especially susceptible to her kind of torment. Her newest victim is a fellow Syllkheret officer, Syllk-handler Roxhakai(Roxa for short). Roxa was born in a wealthy and influential family, so getting the job of a Syllk handler was as easy as her father pulling a few strings. The fact that she never even went through bootcamp enrages other Syllkherets in the Stigmata force, and is especially aggravating to Suraya. Suraya took it upon herself to make Roxa's time with the Stigmata a living nightmare. Doesn's seem like she ever gets zapped for it or even reprimanded.
 
Suraya and Grenadier
Despite never really garnering a deep connection with syllks as one would expect from a Syllkheret, Suraya really bonded with a Killer Syllk Grenadier. In fact, Suraya is the only reason Grenadier was ever allowed to stay in the service of the country after her numerous violent outbursts against Ghalla as well as fellow Syllks. Perhaps Suraya and Grenadier share a mutual love for causing a ruckus.

Crimes:
-Aggravated assault(at least 5 confirmed counts)
-Arson(1 confirmed count)
-Stalking(4 confirmed counts)
-Disturbance of public peace(too many to count across Erdra)
-Unlawful Syllk handling-she threw a baby Syllk at a person(1 confirmed count)
-Threats of violence(too many to count)
-Laundry fraud- she forgot change and beat the laundromat owner with her laundry basket(2 counts)

Tidbits:
-She constantly teases Chayra for being short and somehow lives each time. 
-She smokes only when nobody is around to prevent her from eating the cigarette bud
-Suraya doesn't care about the amount of skin she shows, which is a problem for everyone else
-She smugly refuses to tell anything about herself besides her first name and favorite cigarette brand

The end of the line
As previously mentioned, Suraya works as an extermination officer for the Stigmata. Exterminators are a very controversial and morally questionable  division of the Stigmata: anyone who signs up for this division needs to sign a waiver that essentially states that once their service is done, they will voluntarily accept a death sentence. The waiver is so extreme because extremes are expected of Exterminators, exactly as the name suggests. Manhunts, assassinations, rabid animal killings and so on, nothing is off the table. This line of work attracts a very specific, very vile sort of individual. Suraya found her home among her fellow Exterminators. Her love for inflicting pain is perfect for this sort of work. She knows better than to completely let herself go and abuse her horrid position.

Once she was in her early thirties, Suraya decided that she has had enough. She let her best friend Chayra know shortly before her death sentence was to be executed, much to Chayra's dismay. Suraya decided to die the same way every Syllkheret wants to die: by Syllk Devourment. This method both preserves her dignity and stops Ghalla from controlling her in death as they did in life. She left two specific post mortem instructions for Chayra:
1. Toss some raw meat to Grenadier if you ever see her around. She will be checking in on you no matter where you are.
2. After I die Grenadier will bring you back my intact skull. Keep it clean and in some nice space.
