Taraneh grew up in a house of greenery outside of the town Rhun. She's a druid in training, helping her parents in their shop for herbs and flowers. She has always been a curious girl, loving to explore the old ruins and forests around her hometown. One day she found a little crystal in the forest nearby at a strange place with rune stones. Although she searched for the place, she never found it again. She kept the crystal and is wearing it as a necklace now.

Taraneh is very kind, polite and smart half-elf. She enjoys little adventures and loves to explore new places. She is also a bit naive and easily trusts people, as she never met any "bad person" in her hometown. Taraneh loves reading stories about old magic and ruins, learning new things about their world. Although she tries to stay optimistic most of the time, she's also very sensitive and emotional, which results in a lot of overthinking.

She first met him on her journey, when she found and healed his injured gryphon. Lucian always protected her after that. After finding out that he is not able to speak, she learned sign language, so she can communicate with him, without him using magic. On their journey together they soon realized that they have more feelings than just friendship for each other.
They have known each other since they were little. They grew up together, exploring the nearby forest or just sitting by the fountain on the market of Rhun, talking about their dreams to travel the world. She loves to listen to him play on his guitar, while she's reading.

Taraneh shares a connection to him through the crystal, which she wears as a necklace. As a child she always visited him in her dreams, telling him stories about her world and even gifting him one of her favorite books. She saw a close friend in him, even after he let her forget about their meetings every morning she woke up. It hurts her even more finding out about his true nature years later… After she finds out that he only used her to get free from his prison, she tries to be cold to him, although he still sees a friend in her.
