Lucian lost the ability to speak when he was around 8 years old. The magic inside of him was manifesting but blocked his voice. His father always wished him to be a future leader paladin of the guard like himself. But what is a good paladin without a voice to cast spells and make commands? His father started to ignore him more and more… Lucian's mother though always supported and cared for her son. When their town was attacked by a demon horde, they got separated from his father and fled. (believing that his father died in the battle) An assassin group, with their leader named Hakim, took them in. Lucian still grew to be a kind and gentle person, taking care of his animal friends and practicing his magic without using words. Hakim taught him to use his magic for telepathy. But since Lucian doesn't want to "intrude" others minds, he only uses it to those he trusts and who gave him consent. Otherwise he communicates with sign language.

Lucian is quite reserved around other people and prefers to spend time with animals instead. Nonetheless, he is kind and loyal to those he cares for. He easily gets jealous and fears being abandoned by his loved ones eventually, as his father once did. (wip, more to follow)

A gryphon, which he met after they fled their attacked town. He was hurt and Lucian helped him. They became best friends since then.
He became a new father figure to Lucian. He taught him how to use magic for telepathy, so he doesn’t have to use sign language.
