Perhaps it was fate that led her here as she padded aimlessly through the dead of night, to a lonely village on the outskirts of the Northern Vale, to the infant on the other side of the frosted glass. So tiny and frail, yet he slept peacefully, uncaring of the howling blizzard outside. He did not stir when her shadow fell upon the cradle, nor when her massive jaws clamped reverently around him. And when dawn broke and the door creaked open, the crib was empty, save for a pile of fresh snow gently blowing in through the open window.
The life of a Divine Beast is a lonely one, and few are more familiar with it than the Divine Snow Leopardess. Thus, it was one night that Narin was whisked from his cradle, stolen away from his village in the warmth of her massive jaws. The first few years were rough; the arctic wilderness was no place for a newborn, and the leopardess had little experience caring for another's needs. Narin spent his infancy under the constant watch of his unlikely mother, swaddled in blankets fashioned from animal pelts. But as he grew older, the bitter chill began to affect him less and less, and when he grew into adolescence, cold was but a distant memory. He developed an energetic streak, too, and spent his days romping around, climbing rocks, and even tussling with the arctic’s wild beasts– he was quick to scramble back to the safety of his mother if things ever got out of hand, of course. He was content with his world of himself and his mother and the endless snow, until one day, that world suddenly became much, much bigger…

he's so skrunkly
- Narin's unfortunately illiterate, as a side effect of having spent his entire life in the isolation of the Northern Vale with a Divine Beast for a mother. He's doing his best to learn, though!
- His ears and tail are very expressive and react accordingly to his emotions, sometimes perked up in joy or drooped down in sadness. They can't stay still, either, and often twitch subconsciously.
- Especially resistant to the cold due to his childhood, his body is able to keep himself heated even in freezing temperatures. His immunity comes at the cost of being extra-susceptible to heat, though.
- He's extremely energetic and has great balance and agility, which he mainly directs into his favorite hobby, parkour. He can often be found leaping from building to building for hours at a time.
- A bit of a trinket hoarder, Narin collects anything from cool rocks, pretty jewelry, to cute pens— anything he deems interesting enough, he keeps. Another hobby of his is decorating and he enjoys carefully arranging his accumulated baubles on display shelves.
- He's not big on gardening (eeeEKK WORMS), but he loves plants and always has a few potted flowers sitting around his home or as part of his displays. His absolute favorites are hydrangeas.
