Sage was raised by a single father who worked in Alaska. As a child, she was bullied to the point where her father decided that they needed a new start and moved to San Antonio, Texas. She has always felt a very deep love and reverence for the outdoors even as a child. She works as a journal editor reviewing local restaurants for a foodie magazine, and then later decides to pursue photography.
Even after her confidence and social skills improve, Sage is very introverted and reclused. Although she's able to function in crowded and loud settings, she feels the most comfortable in solitude and away from busy environments. Her personality gets more bubbly as she starts to warm up to people.
She meets Clint after having to review his bar resturaunt for the journal she works for. Much to Clint's surprise, despite her petite and slender appearance, Sage has a large appetite and an even higher metabolism. Not only does she eat his entire menu, but also manages to finish his steak challenge with ease. This impresses him and they hit it off as she decides to visit more often. Later on, they eventually fall in love.
Sage likes tea brewing, mushroom foraging, and scary urban legends. Her favorite food is any kind of meat stew.
