Design notes
- All his colors are saturated to the max
- The bottom half of his hair is dyed purple
- Right eye is red and has a scar over it, left eye is blue.
- The spider symbol on his suit can glow
Neon is an adult transmasc spider-person from Earth-717 (assuming that doesn't already exist). He is currently juggling college and spiderman-duties, albeit not super well.
Neon was offered a spot in the Spider Society thanks to his unique method of taking down bad guys: helping them become better people. In hindsight, he doesn't understand why this was the reason he was admitted, since Miguel (and hence, everyone who follows him) seem to do the exact opposite.

Abilities
Invis / flashbangThe first of Neon's abilities is invisibility, similar to Miles'. On the flipside, he also has the ability to flashbang his enemies with these markings that cover his body. Said markings aren't usually visible unless he is using his flashbang ability.
mind manipulation (toxin)Neon also has the ability to manipulate others' minds to a small degree. He considers it more like an ability to suggest something to someone and have them completely believe it. This is part of why his peaceful conflict resolution works so well.
Currently I am debating whether this should be caused by a toxin or just some ambiguous way.
Neon's story is still in the works, but here is what I have at the moment!
Neon was bit by a radioactive spider 3 years ago, when it got trapped in his house and he picked it up to move outside. He was entirely oblivious to his new powers until he realized he could actually Climb Walls and it wasn't some mysterious glue that was making his hands stick to every surface he touched.
He started his hero journey with the intent to help villains who were mostly misunderstood and/or needed support in some way. For example, Neon encountered a villain who really just needed financial support, so he started a fundraiser for them. He is an extremely pacifistic person, and would only attack someone if they attacked him first.
Neon knows some people can't be reasoned with, though. His canon event had something to do with his best friend dying after the two of them confronted and tried to reason with a villain who didn't want anything they had to offer. Even though he's aware there's nothing that could have been done, Neon still blames himself for the event.
He was recently invited to the Spider Society to help deal with anomalies in a more pacifistic way. An anomaly was accidentally thrown into his universe and causing problems, so he went to deal with it, only to find out the anomaly was an alternate version of himself who happened to be the Prowler in their universe. They connected over almost being the same person and Neon managed to calm them down before Miguel appeared and took charge of the situation and invited Neon to the Spider Society. Supposedly, Miguel was impressed by his pacifism, but Neon's not sure how much he believes that. He's pretty good friends with Gwen, Hobie, Pavitr, and the lot. After the fight between the Spider Society and Miles, Neon deviated away from the group to take care of the anomaly situation on his own.
- In Neon's universe, sodacrushin's spidersona is his Doc Ock
- His glowing markings are sometimes affected by his emotions; if he gets a little too excited he will glow a bit, for example.
- He is trying to learn both morse code and sign language simultaneously. It's taking awhile.
- He enjoys doing digital art, but finds himself in frequent art blocks.
- At times, he can be unbelievably oblivious. One example of this was when it took him SEVERAL DAYS after he was bit to notice that he could climb walls like a spider and it wasn't really his hands feeling like they were sticky because they had glue on them. Usually he is pretty observant though.
Other info
Matt is Doc Ock in Neon's universe. Although they are supposed to be enemies, Neon is quite fond of Matt and his silly shenanigans.
Neon also knows the Spiderman version of Matt in the Spider Society, and at times he accidentally slips up and mentions something about the multiverse when talking to his Matt. He hasn't commented on it yet though, so it's probably fine.
Mack and Neon met in the Spider Society, and hit it off immediately. Neon thoroughly enjoy's his bubbly energy, but also disproves of their habit of stealing from people.
