Mayar

     Mayar is a well-received and successful model who generally enjoys his job! However, he’s disconnected with his portrayal in media because of media’s excessive emphasis on his glamorous appearance.

     Luckily, Mayar and his husband Solstice are very genuinely supportive of each other. Solstice is a professional photographer, and likes to take pictures of Mayar without misrepresenting him. Solstice often photographs him while they walk on the beach or by landmarks in their city Chicago. 

     When Solstice prints out the pictures, he enjoys writing little poems on the backs of them before giving the printed photos to Mayar. Mayar encourages Solstice to publish his poems in literary magazines, but Solstice thinks they’re all too silly.

     Mayar really likes robins. His eyes light up whenever he sees one (so his eyes light up from robins pretty frequently). Robins also seem to be more at ease and comfortable being near Mayar compared to being near the average person, and when robins look at him and cock their heads, Mayar visibly stays calm and internally gets extremely excited.
