Kiara Milani, often called Kiki for short, is a magical girl from the U.S. She is a character that appears in Puer Magi Soma Magica: The Sibyl of Tomoyoko. She came to Tomoyoko City as a foreign exchange student because of her wish and is Chiaki's friend and partner prior to Misha's arrival.

Bio

A foreign exchange student from overseas that goes to Tomoyko City's Central School District with her friend Chiaki Shibuya, where both of them are members of Misha Kiyomi's current team.

Her real name is Kiara, but she often goes by her nickname "Kiki" because she thinks it's cuter to say and will insist that everyone refers to her as such. Growing up overseas, Kiki had difficulty making friends and was often alone. This is because of her being an avid fan of Japanese anime, which makes her seen as immature and not normal by her classmates. Kiki tried not to let it get to her though as she believed that simply being a good person and expressing herself would lead to others eventually seeing beyond her eccentricity and maybe even gain a friend with the same interests. This didn't happen as when she got older she remained the same, immature girl compared to her ever maturing classmates. And her loneliness continued, causing her to focus more on her interests as a way to escape from her reality. Kiki didn't want to grow up and face the world, she wanted to be part of a story where she fought for good and seen as a hero.

Reality to her was very boring compared to the endless excitement and fun in anime.

Soon her wish came true in the form of Kyubey, who visited her one faithful day. Him existing, offering her a wish and turning her into a magical girl was exactly like one of her animes, and she felt so happy that she didn't even know what to wish for. She basically had everything set in place to live out her dreams so she didn't know what else could be done. So to fulfill the entirety of her dream, Kiki told Kyubey to give her the chance to live out her life exactly like her anime fantasies. With her wish granted Kiki began a new life as an exchange student in Japan and was transferred to Tomoyoko.

She made quite an impression among her classmates, appearing as either a weird, yet funny foreigner or a very rude one due to her stereotypical views and speech. While she gained many friends, the one she became closest to was Chiaki because she discovered that she was also a magical girl during a Witch hunt. Kiki hangs out with Chiaki as her partner, despite the fact that Chiaki wants nothing to do with her and finds her annoying. Nevertheless, the duo fought together to protect the city for a time.

Sometime after that Kiki and Chiaki formed a team with Misha when the latter arrived in their city, hoping to learn from her and get stronger. And when they met their newest member Soma, Kiki became even more ecstatic that they not only had a mystery to investigate, but they had a cute boy who could be any of the group's potential love interest. And Kiki hopes its her since she sees herself as the main heroine so she often teases him a lot (to his displeasure.)

Personality

Always smiling, talkative and excitable, Kiki is typically very friendly to everyone she meets. What really stands out is her delusional world view; Kiki is highly obsessed with anime and Japanese culture in general to the point she thinks of her life as being like an actual anime, especially since she became a real magical girl. Because of her obsession Kiki tends to come off as annoying, idiotic and unintentionally rude to others. She doesn't really mean to, more like she speaks her mind without thinking too much about it.

She doesn't take other people or dangerous situations seriously as her delusional mindset makes her think that everyone's part of her fantasy and that she's invincible. She is pretty open about being a magical girl, but no one (except her teammates) believe her since they either think she's joking or being weird; as much as she'd love to show them, Chiaki and Misha made it a strict rule for her not to otherwise it'd hinder their work.

Powers And Abilities

The nature of Kiki's wish gives her the ability to cast illusion magic, where she can bewitch others and distract them to give her allies a chance to attack. She can also buff her allies with the magic under the belief they're stronger and invincible for a time. When she attacks she mainly casts fire magic from her wand, and it can grow bigger and even unleash a huge fire blast of magic if she stands still long enough.
