Profile

A volunteer QA tester for GameFuna, Marlow was a full-time art teacher to middle and high schoolers, and acquaintance of Kaycee. On top of QA testing, she also helped with some graphics, namely backgrounds and terrains. She also made some card art for a few of GameFuna's other TCGs, coming as recommended from Kaycee.

Her QA testing took a shocking turn to say the least, because when she beat the main story, she replaced her selected Scrybe, Magnificus, in the most literal way possible. She woke up within the game, no longer human, and in the shape of a living tree. She couldn't believe it at first, thinking that she had simply played the game too much and was having a rather lucid and vivid dream, however that was soon out the window when an entire day passed. After a bit of adjusting and accepting her fate, the first thing she did was free the mage students... Then paint her old face, so she wouldn't forget it.

She was welcomed by Grimora, and accepted by Lonely and Pike Wizard, however Goobert, P03, and Leshy didn't take too kindly to her presence. While Goobert (and even Leshy) grew to accept her over time, P03 never did... And frankly, she's not about to try to win him over.

After getting settled, Marlow spends most of her time teaching her students art, and mastering her newfound magic. She does not, however, have Magnificus' sight...

... Yet. Over time, Marlow develops a third eye on her forehead, which resembles Magnificus' eyes exactly. With it she can predict the future (and get stupidly strong headaches), and it is the only remaining thing of Magnificus within the code while Marlow remains within the game. Its forming resulted in a large step backwards within her students, as they thought Magnificus could see them through it.

When it comes to new players, she can sense when they are there, and tries to convince them to stop playing... However the OLD_DATA prevents her from actually conveying her message, and will actively alter her dialogue. Imagine her mortification when she realized a teenager was about to become the next Scrybe replacement...

She's kind and patient (as you must be to be a teacher), but she has no tolerance for nonsense, and is good at nipping it in the bud when she sees it (again, useful for being a teacher). She encourages individuality and creativity, though she is keen on teaching the rules of art, before allowing her students to completely break them in half.
