A freshman at Lee Rae State College , Aster is in the midst of finding himself among conspiracies of dark mages, mothmen, and math homework. A faerie born to human parents - a changeling in the original sense of the word, he's always been deattached from who he really is, always throwing himself into paranormal fiction to try and connect to the fantastical realm of the margins of gilded pages that he was ripped from.

This interest in those beyond even him combines with a Leanan Sidhe bloodline that makes people obsessed with him for better or worse, often getting him in trouble with friends and authority alike. In the end, he just wants to be loved, understood, and know who he is.

A shy and paranoid boy with a genuine heart, he tries to help people with a potion or ritual of sorts, even if it does backfire. He's often lost in his own little world, using pulp ficiton novels and horror movies to make sense of the world and often lets it cloud his judgement. Because of this paranoia and past trauma, he is afraid of getting too close to people in an intimate way and often runs away from people genuinely trying to reach out.

Beyond that, he's a deeply empathetic person, often his few friends' biggest cheerleader and the guy to go to know when you need a plan laid out on corkboard or knowledge on a monster. Once he sets his mind to something, he's very one track - he's got the research, so trust him on this one!
